389 rerouted vid Dollis Valley Way this to remove the 326 double run at Dollish Valley this will save time This would mean Dollis Valley Estate loses its current all day service to one that comes five times a day, with no buses at all on Sundays or public holidays.

389 rerouted vid Dollis Valley Way this to remove the 326 double run at Dollish Valley this will save time If that involves an increase on the 389 to every 12 minutes Monday-Sunday to match the 326 and still takes in Western Way, sure.

389 rerouted vid Dollis Valley Way this to remove the 326 double run at Dollish Valley this will save time I have noticed your proposals are pockmarked all over London. Do you ever use either the 326 or 389? Neither of these routes are in my area or form my regular commutes, so I can’t comment, and if you are in the same situation as me, then really you should think hard before commenting.

389 - five trips on weekdays at hourly intervals. 326 - frequent all-day daily service. Altering the 389 to provide an all-day service will require a change of contract and vehicle allocation and might have an impact on the 399 (which shares the 389 vehicle currently) as well. Double-runs anywhere are frustrating for those who have to sit on the bus while it goes into the houses / shops / where ever and back out again but are there for a reason. Dollis Valley Way doesn't occupy more than a few minutes. Try some rural routes outside London where a double-run to serve a village sometimes with its only bus of the day or week can take 10 - 20 minutes and for fewer passengers.

228 Central Middlesex Hospital to Maida Hill (5bph SD) Diverted between Shepherds Bush and Ladbroke Grove Sainsburys via route 316. Frequency increased from 3bph to 5bph (which I believe is already planned to happen because of Old Oak Common).
316 White City to Brent Cross West (7.5bph DD) Diverted between Shepherds Bush and Ladbroke Grove Sainsburys via route 228. Upgraded to double deckers which the rerouting allows.

New route 475 SD Dagenham Heathway to Chadell Heath, not an end to end route. Dagenham Heathway, Dagenham Ave, Goresbrook Road, Gale Street, Woodward Road, Lodge Avenue, Porters Avenue, wood lane, Grafton Road, Becontree Ave, Walnut tree road, Becontree Heath, Selinas Lane, Freshwater Road, Chadwell Heath Advantages: Gives locals a route and supplies efficient interchanges such as the remaining Porters Avenue, Goresbrook and links them to Becontree Heath and could hopefully lift some residents out of cars to short distance leisure centres Disadvantages: Indirect and with roads being thin can be an issue for locals especially for parked cars. Would like to see improvements and alternatives Changes to other routes: 368 to Ilford for stand space and helps out 86 and Elizabeth Line Corridor The route gets a bit windy around Becontree Heath. I would have the route go between Dagenham and Becontree Avenue as proposed. Then go towards Seven Kings via South Park Drive and Benton Road, going up to Barkingside instead. And I’d call it something like 361 instead.

Runs at 5bph using DDs. Not really my patch, but one observation - couldn’t your 448 be numbered as a modified 218 rather than withdrawing a number and using another?

Perhaps an upgrade of the 389 could be in order, then. And it would mean better coverage of the Western Way. Regardless of the frequency, passengers around the estate would lose their link to New Barnet Station. I don't think the current arrangement is much of an issue, as the 326 is quite an indirect route generally. For journeys from Barnet towards Whetstone/Finchley/Hendon it will usually be quicker to change buses.

If the B14 gets changed in 2025 to replace the R6. Do you think if the 229 got withdrawn between Sidcup police station and Sidcup Queen Mary's Hospital and got extended to Orpington Station do you think it would be to long as it could provide a quicker link between Bexleyheath and Orpington if it just followed the 51 between Sidcup High Street to Orpington.

If I was extending the 229 to Orpington I would just send it down the A20 to join the 51 at Crittal's Corner. Although I expect any demand for Bexleyheath to Orpington is adequately met by changing in Sidcup between 229/269 and 51 and Hopper fare.

Yeah, it would I’m afraid. The 229 would need to be curtailed somewhere like Erith to make the route viable to operate, and that would cause its own issues. Basically, I agree with wirewiper.

238: Night service withdrawn. Current route remains as is.
348: New route between Dagenham and Hornchurch. Also serves Church Lane, Rainham Road, Elm Park, and Abbs Cross. Helps for an outer service that doesn’t go through Romford, as well as unserved sections on Rainham Road (A125).
365: Extended from South Street to Beam Park Station. Two-way service through Orchard Village. Re-routed along Upper Rainham Road rather than Abbs Cross.
N238: New route serving between Stratford and Rainham Interchange. Also serves East Ham, Barking, Upney, and Beam Park. Will help give East London some better connections at night (Maybe it could go further to Lakeside, but I doubt it).

It does nothing but link houses. The reason everything in Havering goes to Romford is because that's where people want to go. The 365 provides most of the links this proposed 348 will and goes to Romford on top of that.
