238: Night service withdrawn. Current route remains as is. 348: New route between Dagenham and Hornchurch. Also serves Church Lane, Rainham Road, Elm Park, and Abbs Cross. Helps for an outer service that doesn’t go through Romford, as well as unserved sections on Rainham Road (A125). 365: Extended from South Street to Beam Park Station. Two-way service through Orchard Village. Re-routed along Upper Rainham Road rather than Abbs Cross. N238: New route serving between Stratford and Rainham Interchange. Also serves East Ham, Barking, Upney, and Beam Park. Will help give East London some better connections at night (Maybe it could go further to Lakeside, but I doubt it). Whats the point of the 348? It does nothing but link houses. The reason everything in Havering goes to Romford is because that's where people want to go. The 365 provides most of the links this proposed 348 will and goes to Romford on top of that. I don’t even really know anymore. Maybe I’m just bad at new bus route ideas.

101 extended to Woodford Wells via the W13, replacing the W13.
W13 withdrawn
This gives the 101 more purpose now it has been cut, providing links from Woodford Wells and South Woodford to Manor Park, East Ham and Beckton. Anyone travelling south of Wanstead on the W13 can change for a W14 at South Woodford or Wanstead plus the central line exists too

Admittedly we’re definitely in WH241 territory here, but when I’ve seen the 101 in recent months, it’s been busy enough.

Anyone travelling south of Wanstead on the W13 can change for a W14 at South Woodford or Wanstead plus the central line exists too My main objection to this is the frequency and capacity imbalance, the 101 runs around every 12 minutes with d/d whilst the W13 runs every 15 minutes with s/d. The W13 is proposed to be extended to Leyton in place of the W14 in the recent Woodford/Walthamstow consultation.

So a 101/W13 fiddle won't be happening.

As others have said there is already potential changes planned in the Wanstead area which doesn’t include the 101. If TfL had any plans for the route it would have most likely been included in the current consultation.

The 101 along with the 304 and 474 serve a purpose along the busy East Ham high street corridor. This is actually one part of East Ham that needs the buses it has.

203 withdrawn between Hounslow West and Hounslow, diverted to Southall Town Hall. To link Staines with Southall and also because there are too many buses linking Staines and Hounslow
482 withdrawn mostly replaced by the 203 and 490
350 extended to Southall Town Hall via E6 to Bulls Bridge and 195 to Southall. To retain the link between Southall and T5
E6 withdrawn between Hayes Asda and Bulls Bridge. Replaced by the 350 on that section
235/117 swap routing between Isleworth station and Busch Corner. To allow the 117 to use DD in replace of withdrawing the 203. The 117 would use the 235 lor to Busch Corner then the 267 to West Middlesex Hospital

Also, someone far more local than me mentioned Busch Corner coming from Twickenham regularly snarls up so diverting the 117 & 235 via St John’s Road would, I imagine, add more time on than necessary

Another idea would be to extend the 116 to Staines, it would be quicker than the 203

Another idea would be to extend the 116 to Staines, it would be quicker than the 203 Oyster can’t be used at Staines, so relying on that is effectively rerouting the 203 without replacement, and Hounslow station isn’t in the town centre.

Especially if the Elizabeth Line extension is continuing to go ahead.
northlondon83 I could be wrong on this but I highly doubt there are many people who use the 482 to get from Heathrow T5 to Southall. There might be people living in communities along the 482 who require Heathrow as a place of employment, but generally there would be very little through traffic and I imagine the Southall link on the 482 is more for residents wanting to access local amenities and the Elizabeth Line. Far quicker to get from Southall to Terminal 5 using the Elizabeth Line.
