Hmmm actually you’re right. Maybe 191 should be split into separate routes whilst W8 remains the same and 144 extends to Ponders End Bus Garage through 191’s way. Not a good idea to split the 191. The 191s routing allows the back roads of Edmonton to be linked with Enfield, Ponders End, etc. Extending the 144 when it already has traffic problems isn't a good idea. What I would do with your W8 (and its been mentioned here before) is to send it to Walthamstow (probably not now because of the Superloop services making it no space) or even Meridian Water and send the W6 to Lea Valley in its place Or perhaps a restructure of the 191 and W8 together could work to make the 191's routeing less confusing and indirect? Something like the following: 191 Enfield - Ponders End - Edmonton Green - Walthamstow W8 Brimsdown - Carterhatch - Enfield - Edmonton Green 329 extended to Chase Farm W6 extended to Lee Valley

It’s like you choose two random places. Sorry to sound harsh but sometimes these route ideas seem very random.

Speaking of Chingford, should there be a new route named N388 going from Chingford to London Bridge, following 97’s way from Chingford up until Stratford City Bus Station then following 388’s way up until London Bridge. i would have named it N97 but it already exists.

Chingford Station could do another Night route .

I strongly believe 251 should extend to Palmers Green through Wilmer Way, Alderman’s Hill (Palmers Green Station) then Green Lanes.
But if this was to happen, 251 should have DD’s especially because during school hours, the capacity can be high and by Lawrence Street, the trees don’t seem to be very low and affect the bus.

Where will it stand in Palmers Green? Either in the bus garage/where 141 terminates but 251 would probably have to change to Arriva for that.

That will go down as well as a cup of cold sick!

24 from Victoria to Pimlico withdrawn without replacement? That will go down as well as a cup of cold sick! Oh. Sorry about that, you’re right. In that case Pimlico to Wood Green. That would likely create a route topping the league for traffic-congestion disruption. Both the 24 and 29 suffer very badly already. There are days when a 24 seldom gets south of Victoria as it is. Given the existing travel patterns the answer is not to chop them up into even smaller sections but to work on easing their passage through pinch-points with better traffic management and bus priority measures. I would leave the 24 well alone but I would send the 29 back to Victoria even allowing for the additional congestion it may encounter. Or run it as two overlapping routes between Victoria - Manor House and Trafalgar Square - Wood Green each at 6bph, 12bph over the long common section, with a consequential slight reduction in bph along Green Lanes which is over-bussed anyway.
