Yeah pretty much. It had served it for donkey’s years, since the late 80s when it was opened and it was always well used as that Tesco is much closer to St Paul’s Cray than the one in Orpington. This was before the Aldi’s and Lidl’s opened opposite eachother down Sevenoaks Way though which help. Do you know if the R11 was failing to meet reliability standards like the R7 was? IIRC that was the general understanding of the situation on the thread on here when they changed it in March 2017. tangytango.proboards.com/thread/9405/orpington-route-changes

If we're getting crayons out for Superloop how about a route from Croydon running non stop to Coney Hall via Addington (no conflict with Tramlink) and across Hayes Common via Locks Bottom for PRU, Orpington, St Mary Cray, Ruxley Corner, North Cray, Bexley Village, Bexleyheath, Crayford, Dartford, Darent Valley Hospital and Bluewater. I have my doubts as to whether such a route would be viable but I'd certainly find it useful if such a route did ever happen.

I like the Bexleyheath-Orpington-Croydon chunk of the route though. Orpington to Bexleyheath could do with a faster direct service and I’ve always been all for a Orpington to Croydon service. North Cray relies on the abysmally unreliable 492, so that would be a plus as well.

With stand space being an issue at Bromley North maybe it could be extended to Bromley Common and terminate at the Bus Garage.

Perhaps if a Croydon-Bexleyheath route was to be introduced it could serve the following stops: West Croydon Bus Station East Croydon Station Coney Hall St Michaels Church Orpington Station Walnuts Centre Nugent Retail Park Double run into Foots Cray Tesco Bexley Library Bexleyheath Clock Tower

They could try and add some stops along Edgington Way to serve Foots Cray Tesco though. It should also stop at Ellenborough Road to serve the North Cray Estate.

The proposed 408 here is mentioned to terminate at Bromley South There isn’t anywhere for a route to stand at Bromley South Station. Would the stand that the 126 uses in Ringer's Road be an option?

I could see Croydon to Bexleyheath via this routing but I doubt the section south of Bexleyheath would be considered given the links between Bexleyheath and Dartford/Bluewater that already exist

There isn’t anywhere for a route to stand at Bromley South Station. Would the stand that the 126 uses in Ringer's Road be an option? There is space but I’m not sure if they’d be allowed to use it. There is a restaurant/bar/venue type of place along there.

The proposed 408 here is mentioned to terminate at Bromley South There isn’t anywhere for a route to stand at Bromley South Station. Yes there is a Bus Stand it is on Simpsons Road. Was supposed to be for the 126. The Ringers Road stand was only meant to be temporary 11 years later… Waste of money building it and it isn’t in use.
