To be fair, I wouldn't be sad to see the withdrawal of the 414, the 14 covers one half whilst the 6 covers the other, and as for the bit inbetween, there's other buses that cover the Hyde Park Corner interchange like the 74 and the 23

Be interesting if the 14 gets a freq reduction over the next couple of months. The 22 is but if it doesn't then that could be indication that we will see further changes.

I wouldn’t say pleased just disappointed that resources are being wasted on a route like the 414 when a minor increase on the 14 would be sufficient as a replacement. At this time when TfL are cutting routes across central London to the bone the 414 is a prime example of a saving that could be made to sustain more widely used routes.

Exactly, keep the deadbeat 414 going but cut the frequency on the busy N9, that's TfL logic!

I can understand that - likewise I can understand why people agree with the cut but for someone to be pleased would be a very weird reaction. Anyway, the route will certainly go at some point, shame they didn’t look at making more use of it through a total restructure

If you send it up Putney High Street and then Upper Richmond Road, same problem. Extend it down Lower Richmond Road, overbussed. However you do it any extension from Putney Bridge would likely be overbussed.

Instead I intend to divert it away from Putney Bridge, as far as Fulham Broadway station, and instead taking it via route 28 to Wandsworth

Can't speak about the 28 as such however the 295 is certainly a busy North & West London Route, linking in massive residential areas with massive shopping areas and train stations. Perhaps to support the busy 295 the 414 could be dropped to a 5bph frequency, diverted to Wandsworth from Fulham & on the northern end cutback to South Ken or Knightsbridge.
