The dreaded "points have been shared" strapline has returned. That ref made some questionable decisions. Talk about being OTT with the cards. This is not the time to collapse Arsenal Ref was horrendous, he ruined the game by booking both sets of players so early for silly things and then missed a blatant tug in the box by Dan Burn. Newcastle deserved a point and we didn't play well enough to win. Just sums up why I still am not convinced we'll win it even though I love the team and how it's playing I think there's still a chance we could do it but maybe this highlights even more why we need more depth. There's going to be more twists and turns as the season goes by. Newcastle were definitely playing cautiously and after Arsenal got them yellow cards they began to not attack as much though there were some opportunities. Newcastle need to stop with their needless time wasting that's why they lost to Liverpool earlier in the season.

It is still very much swings and roundabouts. After all, Man City did not beat Everton, a team who Arsenal had beat and Man City lost to Brentford. Newcastle is currently third in the league, so was always going to be a tough match. I know Man City had beat Newcastle. But if you look on the flip side Brighton lost to Arsenal, but then Brighton crucified Everton.

I don’t criticise teams for time wasting because every team does it, we’d do the same thing after all.

Someone asked me if Arsenal don't win the Premier league this season would it be classed as a failure. Personally for me I would say it would be a failure to not win it because you cannot be at the top of the table for a long period of time and not win it. Irrespective of how well we have progressed it's still no excuse to fail at the last hurdle simply because city are that good. Now if the benchmark for this season was just to get top 4 then we should be around 3rd or 4th and no higher. This season I feel as though may be a good opportunity to win it because I know for a fact come next season all the other teams are going to strengthen up in their areas.
Now of course if Arsenal were to win then I hope Arteta can maintain the form and not be a one season wonder.

Makes a change from Man City winning every year

We are currently overachieving as the target has always been this season to finish in the top four - we can still drop out of that. All I expect from the team is to carry on playing how they are and see where we end up

All I expect from the team is to carry on playing how they are and see where we end up Interesting take on this. I only say it would be considered a failure as if we were only aiming for top 4 then we should be sitting around 3rd/4th but being first for a lengthy period during the season and not winning it will be a stat that I for one would not be happy about if Arsenal joins that list. Now if in the most bizarre case that we drop out of the top 4 then it being classed as a failure would be an understatement. This transfer window is a very critical one as that would possibly determine where one finishes between now and May. Now granted every team during the course of the season will drop points I don't want it to be a case when it gets to May and we miss out on thin margins as that has been the case over the last 5/6 years. We haven't properly challenged for the title since the 10/11 season. (Some would say maybe the 13/14 season when we got Ozil)

They are doing well but I see Man City is in their rear view mirror and approaching fast as the regular Top Four find their feet after a busy season before the World Cup... Newcastle look like ones to watch out for as well this season . Still the 259 Derby is around the corner if Spurs don't lose momentum like a 144 bus on Muswell Hill
