It comes as no surprise. The Tories were best mates with Jimmy Savile in the 80s. Thatcher especially The same way the leader of the LABOUR party helped Saville evade prosecution. Wasn't that something Boris Johnson accused Keir Starmer of?

Has the Ulez changed anything yet or are people still using there cars or is it too early to say? Will take few weeks to get any data. Generally September is busier on the roads than school holidays so even a visual guess might be inaccurate.

Well it’s a very hot weekend, schools are open, people are back from holiday so clearly roads will be more crowded. I myself did 3 impromptu trips to the beach in the past 2 weekends so guess people are doing the same. Also heading to shopping malls for the air conditioning (also did that!))

lol, but seriously, that seems like a setup job. How on earth the person inside the van did not even call the police when this was happening. Unless they bailed out and run.

Great that he is being challenged about this behaviour and comments but what will come of it if he were found to be in breach? A slap on the wrist? A sternly written warning from a committee to Mr Khan. Oooo, so scary!
Its about time he is removed from office because he has become too arrogant and his behaviour increasingly irrational. Ironic he groups the anti-ULEZ protestors as being amongst conspiracy theorists. Is he not one (a consiprarcy theorist) by claiming protestors are Nazis/anti-vaxxers and that the consultatation was "hijacked" without being able to quote any evidence for each of the allegations made. Sounds like a conspiracy theorist to me!

No doubt we will have a report in the future from our learned friends at Imperial College (funded by the mayor) with findings in favour of ULEZ. And if the report doesn't initially come to the right conclusion the team from Imperial will be "persuaded" to "challenge some of the misunderstandings" as reported several weeks ago:
Wouldn't want to bite the hand that feedeth worth nearly £900k from the mayor since 2021!

Unfortunately there is no legal process to remove the mayor from office in place. To introduce one would likely require a vote by the GLA and as Labour would probably vote against any motion it would be unlikely to come in. We are stuck with Khan until the bitter end.
