“Route 63 spec buses” on their own won’t attract people back to the network, it has to be a combination of both that but firstly, improving frequencies and reliability by halting and reversing cuts. If it was as simple as just implementing the former, the 63 itself would of gained a noticeable increase in patronage which it hasn’t I have been saying this since the high spec vehicles were first rumoured for the 63. I’d be far more interested to see how much TfL wasted on paying TikTok influencers for social media posts to promote the high spec vehicles. Not on TikTok but did the videos really go mad about the 63 or was it just a case of certain influencers posted and others jumped on the bandwagon with the likes?
Give me a clean bus that arrives on time and makes good progress over fancy flooring and USB points any day. I think most buses are of a pretty decent standard and most are refurbished after 5 years

Man I don’t care if the buses run on petrol or diesel or hydrogen or electric or natural gas or solid state batteries or anything else. I need the bus to run, run on time, and run faster than me for that matter. The bus needs to be clean and not regulate infinitely; needs to be warm in winter and cool in summer and not the other way round. above all just be reliable!

In terms of regulation it doesn’t help that operators are more interested it picking up bonus payments. Maybe the system needs to be looked into.

The whole tfl system definitely needs looking into from the very top to the bottom but compared to "cities" in Essex and elsewhere the service we have is world class we are extremely lucky , even if all the alledged cuts Sadiq was alledgedly going to implement went ahead we would still have a world class system compared to elsewhere , where buses are cut randomly and don't run generally after 7 in the evening , very limited services in the early mornings and on Sundays and just generally a shambles . My issue is the way people travel has changed and doesn't seem to be changing back anytime soon , so they should change the one size fits all approach and do something different and stop spouting money up the wall and then just charging the motorist which has a knock on effect on everyone fuel prices , new vehicle prices or ULEZ fees all passed on to the customer .

Comparing London to elsewhere is very unfair, it's a different animal to other places in the country and has different demands and needs. The bus network might be better in London due to excellent decisions made years ago as apposed to anything really but it's not world class and the cuts are gradually eroding it's good status. Some ways of travelling have changed but not as drastically as some might like to make out and not in every part of London either.

I'm sorry but for a fair few aspects, London's bus service is world class. Oyster payment and then contactless, Countdown displays, iBus and standardised fares are things we are trailblazers at & elements other cities worldwide want to emulate. There is always a debate to be had on criteria we trail behind on like LED displays and technological luxuries afforded to passengers on the bus. We however are the envy of the country by paying a flat £1.65 for a journey that's 2 miles long or 20 miles. It's important to recognise how good we have it as Londoners periodically, not for the sake of bragging but to be humbled and grounded for the services we do have.

Is E&C part of the Central or Inner London ULEZ rules?
Thinking but do not seem to believe that any Diesel route serves there.

Is E&C part of the Central or Inner London ULEZ rules? Thinking but do not seem to believe that any Diesel route serves there. The actual E&C is in the Inner London area, but if you take any road North or towards Borough, you are in the Central area. Most, if not all of the E&C stands are in the Central area. Dont think there are any routes serving E&C that do not hit the Central area, but open to correction.
