Really don't see the point in these protests! They will go ahead with the changes regardless.
The only small blessing is most petrol cars on the road now are compliant. I still see 02/03 reg cars in the ULEZ zone and would be very surprised if they are paying a daily charge so assume even some cars 20 years old meet the rules.
The most effected are small business that need to update company vehicles.

Mark this day people, this is probably the only day in my lifetime I will agree with Sutton Lib Dems. I can’t stand them and what they’ve done to my borough but I will agree with them. The cynic in me does think though they are using this to get claim more funding from city hall and TfL, it’s well known that Sutton is the least funded per head within the 32 boroughs.

Fully agree with the protests. It’s less to do with protecting people’s health and simply more of a cash grab. Tfl and the 2 Labour led councils I have lived the past 10 years in are notorious at this To put things in perspective: - Greenwich council managed to come to my street at 6am to slyly put up cameras to catch people violating a no left turn (that banned turn has been in place since the 1980s!). The street itself is potholed and losing its top surface but no one has ever come to repair! - during the snow events in December traffic wardens were still out (one guy was moaning how he had to be out in the cold) but not one footpath in the entire borough was gritted. My street still resembled Siberia till the next weekend! - there are a few big potholes at the angerstein roundabout (enough to damage axles I would think). Was repaired once but the work went out in a few days, so back to the same pothole. If you ever see anyone going there early in the morning and painting a feed me sign next to it, that would be me!

There is a anti ULEZ expansion protest at Trafalgar Square on the 28th of this month. Seen a poster on twitter.
The ULEZ does not do much and should be scrapped all together.

It is the same thing that local councils have been doing for years to implement things like LEZ, CPZ, parking restrictions etc. 90% corrupt and dishonest tactics.

Opposition to the London-wide ULEZ is already a big problem for Khan's Mayoralty, if allegations of manipulation or corruption are proven this could affect his chances of standing for a third term in 2024.

I would prefer he be sacked for misconduct in public office.

I would go further and say if he is directly implicated he needs to resign. He won’t though. He will just spin it to make it about central government, the bailout and the lack of investment into TfL. My hatred for Khan is at an all time high, just last week it was revealed that Amy Lame received a 40% pay rise and that really pushed me over the edge. I frankly don’t care who is mayor as long as it isn’t him anymore. I’d rather have Jabba the Hutts arsehole than Khan at this point.

I’m not a lawyer but it seems like a case of fraud and misrepresentation, which can carry a 2-7 year sentence. If he knowingly misrepresented the data and allowed it to be manipulated then a forced resignation is the least of his worries.

Under that scenario what could then happen with the operation of the ULEZ in the long term? Honestly I don’t know, perhaps suspended with the intention to run a new consultation? But instead using an independent body to carry out the consultation. Whatever the outcome it was clear those who did respond were overwhelmingly against the ULEZ.
