I am reaching a point where I will stop using my car as its so uneconomical and the cost of fuel is already a joke! We are living in very interesting times! the 2020s are turning out to be pretty rubbish! I think it's also down to the ridiculous E10 petrol that's made its way around petrol stations more in recent weeks. Believe it's now actually cheaper to put Ultimate (E5) into cars as the milage is far better despite a higher initial cost, but works out cheaper overall. E10 fuel is a SCAM!!!!! How can I top up full tank only for it to be gone in two days. Absolute joke. Everytime I go to the fuel station I specifically look for E5 fuel. If they don't have it I drive off.

A cash donation or donation goods would go much further than virtue signalling with a painted bus.

To be honest I have t really checked social media for more than a few minutes a day since covid started. I just can’t stand virtue signalling like this, it doesn’t actually do anything. I’d rather a company like this donated privately without the need to scream “look what we did”. Even a single event day where they donated profit from the painted buses journeys to Ukrainian charities would be useful but just painting a bus just does nothing in my mind.

If you take all the E10 fuel, there will be nothing for the E10 buses to use Seems Russia's "special military operation" isn't going too well, they are getting spanked by Ukraine, relying more on long distance rocket attacks as a lot of their elderly vehicles cannot go off road. The terms and conditions of a ceasefire will make Ukraine a vassal state, now they've scared them away from joining NATO. I still don't understand destroying a country completely just to claim their land. Bojo is looking to get a deal for oil in the Middle East, I don't know why we don't make more use of North Sea oil fields, or explore more synthetic fuel alternatives

In my opinion, despite the obvious complications with counties like Saudi Arabia, we need a short term solution so a long term problem can be solved.

Those obvious complications shouldn’t be ignored because we, as a country, are being completely hypocritical by saying don’t use Russian oil because of the war but then continuing to cosy up with a country who kill critics of the Saudi regime, have woeful human rights, and are in an illegal war against Yemen with us supplying the weapons - not even the US does that for Saudi Arabia. There are other big oil producers in the world to use like Canada

But I see it no differently to trading oil with a country like the US who also have problematic laws on death penalties and women in certain states.

The US does have issues in that department but the difference is, the death penalty has been phased out in many states and there are states that currently have it who have or will be phasing it out. Whilst the US does have a history of sending innocent people to their deaths, it's usually through incompetence rather than to silence critics and journalists so there are difference there. Regardless of current needs, no business should be done with countries like Saudi Arabia especially when this country has it's own issue when it comes to morality and hypocrisy.

I’m not saying that Saudi Arabia isn’t problematic but if it comes down to a choice for the public between morality and keeping household bills within manageable limits, for the many, I’d know where my loyalties would lie. But everything has a cost for diplomacy, even the release o of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is likely down to securing oil price stability as opposed to being done actually moral grounds.

There are other big oil producers in the world to use like Canada As for BoJo and his jaunt to Saudi, he came back empty handed ✋ they won't increase oil for him (surely OPEC who control the reserves want to keep supplies as they are or oil prices will drop) During his visit, 3 more were executed... so not exactly the kind of place you would want to upset. What with many looking to alternative fuel, Dinosaur Juice is on the wane, so prices may drop off as more look towards hydrogen if it becomes viable. It seems quality of life is dropping in Russia, with a desperate government looking to seize all McDonalds (flip the logo round and rename it Uncle Vanyas It's like the government setting up O&P Ferries as a replacement for sailings to France ) Queues for bread have returned, the mood is turning against the regime... soldiers are young and impressionable and when captured are willing to say what they really think of the war. When you have Soviet military vehicles that cannot go off road, it kinda limits what you can do... They can't have "peace talks" whilst deliberately bombing hospitals and theatres filled with children
