At this stage anything beyond Stamford Brook and East Putney has been descoped. CBTC over National Rail lines is not seen as a priority. The Turnham Green, Acton Town and Ealing areas are Piccadilly Line assets and will have to await that Lines signalling upgrade which is currently unfunded. Investment has already been made with new 4LM financed signalling equipment rooms standing idle at Turnham Green, Ealing Broadway East Putney, Wimbledon and Richmond.

A curious side-effect of tomorrow's rail strike (ASLEF, Saturday 26th November) is that the Circle Line service will be suspended due to anticipated staff shortages, with staff covering the Hammersmith & City and District lines. All stations will still be served but some journeys will require a change at Aldgate East or Earls Court.

On the Tfl website it says that due to the Strike action there is a reduced service on the Circle Line , Is this due to some crosslinked journeys that run from Wimbledon ? Or just reduced on the shared sections with the District (Edgware Rd to Tower Hill) never seen the Circle be affected on the website so just wondered if anyone knew ?

They normally focus the drivers onto the Hammersmith & City and District lines, with the Circle line service being sacrificed. This is because you only tend to lose the direct service between Aldgate/Liverpool St & Tower Hill and Gloucester Road & High Street Kensington and passengers can change at Aldgate East and Earls Court to continue the journey

No stabling on National Rail infrastructure, services were slightly reduced as Staff needed to get home on the non-existent NR services.

I used the District Line on Saturday and noticed some S stock trains are looking a bit tired with very worn seats. Some trains are approaching 13 yeas old (Metropolitan Line) so wonder if they will at least get a seat refresh at some stage?

All S Stock have extremely worn moquette, no programme to refresh interiors yet

All S Stock have extremely worn moquette, no programme to refresh interiors yet The worst seems to be the back to back seats on the S8, as they are used as foot rests a lot. I stop even sitting on them when I use them, practically dog faeces seating just like the rear facing seats on buses over the lower deck wheelarch.

I try and avoid those seats in fact I'll normally stand if they are all that's available, Merseyrail issue fines for feet on seats.

Has the frequency changed on the Edgware Road branch of the District Line because I sometimes time the trains as being 7.5 mins apart
