Has the frequency changed on the Edgware Road branch of the District Line because I sometimes time the trains as being 7.5 mins apart No, still every 10min throughout the day. I use the District Line in the mornings on most day and the timings have been very sporadic. The trains come at different times everyday and also sometimes trains can be 3 mins apart and then a huge gap after.

The trains come at different times everyday and also sometimes trains can be 3 mins apart and then a huge gap after. On Tuesday I left Ealing Common depot immediately after the preceding Edgware Road train. Had to wait outside Edgware Road for it to depart, late. Immediately behind again from Wimbledon but the stepping-back at Edgware Road then created a gap which widened through the morning.

Noticed there is a significant increase in speed today on the district line eastbound from Mile End to Hornchurch. Has there been an upgrade in line speed? This morning there were delays but the speed difference somehow mitigated the delay.

Is that the District line section from Becontree to Upminster?

Is that the District line section from Becontree to Upminster? Becontree-Upminster is SMA 7, coming 19 March. Stepney Green-Becontree is SMA 6.

The District Line is closed between South Kensington/Edgware Road to West Kensington and Fulham Broadway in March. Are they improving the ATO Operation?

Nothing of that nature in March. 25-26 February there is track, drainage and civils work, also tamping East Putney-Wimbledon; which requires closure: West Kensington-South Kensington, Wimbledon-Edgware Road.

Just boarded a train at Liverpool Street on the platform heading towards Hammersmith. The customer announcements then stated that it was a circle line train to Aldgate via Tower Hill, next station Aldgate. Half the train jumped out of their seats and disembarked. I continued on the train which was still insistent that the next station is Aldgate, even once we’d arrived at Moorgate. Feature of the CBTC?
I’ve also recently been on a H&C train to Barking that turned into a district train to Upminster at Aldgate East.
Very poor customer information by London Underground that inconvenienced a number of people this morning and nearly myself.
Also, does anyone know what speed the S Stock now does between Farringdon and Kings Cross? I thought they were all limited to 40 but we were clearly travelling much faster than that.

A H&C turning into a District Line train eastbound doesn't really seem to be much of a problem as the District serves the same stations and more.

At one time there was a H&C train that operated showing "Edgware Road" as its destination, on arrival it would change into a District Line train - and not even to Wimbledon, but to Ealing Broadway! It operated after the morning peak and I presume there was an operational reason for it. I have also known H&C trains operate through to Upminster when the District Line service has been suspended for engineering works.

May have been to send a C&H train to Ealing Common Depot, it may have had some issues. Likewise for the H&C train changing from a Barking terminator to an Upminster terminator, to reach Upminster Depot.

Notting Hill-High Street westbound is 53mph. as posted previously Bromley-by-Bow - Becontree is now temporarily maximum 56mph.

The Ealing Broadway train was a regular scheduled working, I caught it several times. Also during the engineering work when the H&C trains were extended, they left Hammersmith showing Hammersmith & City Line - Upminster.
