Ecuador did well to grab a draw against Holland and could of even booked their place in the next round had Platta's effort not hit the woodwork, very impressed and great to see the smaller teams doing well

What a crazy game, Japan follow a win over Germany by losing to Costa Rica who had themselves been walloped 7-0 by Spain.
Bit surreal this weekend with the World Cup and the second round of the FA Cup happening at the same time.

I'd rather see England draw on Tuesday because it's still enough to get them through to the next round, and this allows them to save their better players for the knockout stages

Belgium played mediocre against Canada, so I was not surprised. It is a shocker for them to lose to Morocco though.

TBH, I wasn’t that shocked by this, Belgium have been overrated for a long time now Time has certainly passed this Belgian side by. A group of immensely talented players but they never really managed to mould themselves into a really good team - despite what the FIFA rankings might say! Croatia certainly looked a better prospect today than they did against Morocco but I do feel sorry for Canada. I thought they played ok against both Belgium and Croatia and don’t deserve to be going home |

I’m currently in Qatar on a solo holiday for my Birthday 😅, I’m really enjoying this World Cup. Landed on Sunday and went straight to the Germany v Spain match, yesterday I was at the Fan Zone area and watched Brazil v Switzerland and Portugal v Uruguay. Today I’m attending the Qatar v Netherlands match then will make way to Fan Zone for England v Wales. I’ve got a few more matches to attend and other I don’t watch will be at the Fan Zone. The Doha Metro is very nice & frequent, my Hotel is really nice and everyone is very friendly here, flying back to UK on Saturday.

Yes great performance second half, I suppose you could say Danny Ward didn't cover himself in glory with the Marcus Rashford goals and Senegal will be a tougher proposition but I'm looking forward to Sunday and feeling quitely confident. |
