Arriva/TGM on the E10 2014-17. Possibly one of the most bizzare things that have happened to the bus scene locally to me, not least because at the time (just after the First buyout) pretty much every other route in Ealing was run by Metroline. Arriva used to run the H28 in 1998, along with the 65 under London&Country (appeared as Arriva Croydon and North Surrey on timetables) First Bagerline (Thamesway) with the 214 in Moorgate was commonplace back then, before MTL then Metroline took over (Now GAL from RA / NP)

Arriva on the 335 always feels a bit odd to me - it's the only Arriva route operating out of North Greenwich/Kidbrooke, while it barely meets any other Arriva routes (only the 202 briefly in Blackheath).

Metroline in Sunbury on the 235 always felt strange as its so far from their core territory in North West London.

E10 has to be strangest one of all time. 26 with stagecoach in Victoria really sticks out to to me I don't believe they have ever had a route in the area apart from the N136, happy to be corrected though. The last day route operated by Stagecoach in Victoria before the 26 was the 8. It was pulled from the area in June 2009, with the C2 being extended from Oxford Circus to replace the 8 over that section. You are right in that the N136 was the only Stagecoach presence in Victoria until May 2017. I can't ever forget the 8 going to Victoria and more poignantly Mayfair, as it was almost always quicker than the 73 to Oxford Street at the time. An added bonus was that the 8 went to Bow from places like Victoria and Hyde Park Corner, a link that was sorely missed by east Londoners.

Anything operated by Metroline in Uxbridge to this day it’s weird seeing a bus with the name Metroline on it this is after First have been dominant for longtime.
Arriva operating the U9 was pretty odd. The U9 was the only route that they operated in the area.

I think it's a huge shame the way the 8 was withdrawn, the C2 never really managed to pick up numbers as well as the 8 did which is probably what ultimately led to its own cut. The 26 seems to be doing very well now, despite coming into Victoria through a completely different way. Most of it is probably displaced from the 11, but there's almost certainly some new demand that's shown up on the route.

What's the oddest for me is that PV's routes meet every RATP garage: X - 7 meets 23, 28, 452 S - 7 meets 70, 72, 94 V - 7 meets 272, 283 and N7 meets E3 additionally TV - N31 meets 639/670 (not at the same time but still counts) WK - 90 meets most WK routes bar 116 AV - 90 meets H98, 203 FW - N7 meets (N)65 CP - 90 meets 698/X140, 483 meets H11 SO - 90 meets X140, 483 meets many at Harrow BT - 483 meets H12 RP - 483 meets 223, 224 and H17 Where does the 483 meet H12? I don’t think does.

Metroline in Sunbury on the 235 always felt strange as its so far from their core territory in North West London. Personally have never thought that. They do still run the 635, though a different area of Sunbury. What I found more odd was Tower Transit in Sunbury with the V635s!

I remember Abellio having a lot of extras in AL's range including LTs on the 355.

Luton & District, one of Arriva’s predecessor also served Uxbridge when they ran the 331 in the mid 90s.

The 232 is another one, only meets one GAL route before it reaches Wood Green! Even the 184 and 456 are pretty much the same, meets very few GAL routes for the majority opf its route. Pretty sure the 456 is the only GAL route in Enfield

It’s still odd to me that Stagecoach had reached to the other side of the Enfield borough, running as far as Southgate with the 616.
