I agree about the LTs. Was more spare at the right time for the 313 to get DDs. I know its slightly different but seeing the number 5 as far out as Romford always seems odd to me. The 248 is another route on the periphery with LTs. It does connect to the 5 on the Romford end though I remember the old 87 and the 374... how times have changed. Another oddity was Arriva with the 19 in 2005, bringing the latest original DB250 DW's to North London for the first time The ageing DLAs on the 370 being thrashed above 40 on tight country lanes was a sight to see it's still odd seeing GAL with the 91 and Stagecoach with the W5 in Harringay

However that will change when the 346 transfers over to Stagecoach. It will also mean that the 5 will be the only day route in the borough of Havering to be operated by GAL

Not really oddball, but having Harrow/Edgware-based VHR's and ADH's potentially being able to be spotted from anywhere ranging from Watford Junction (258) to Trafalgar Square (N5) to Heathrow (X140) to Winchmore Hill (125).
