Low turnout (40.5%) and Highest turnouts in outer regions (Havering, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley) could still see a very close result. I did say this it would be a low turn out and close result. But people here were constantly saying Khan would win by extreme margins due to the pollsters, I never trust them.London mayor election: Voter turnout 40.5%Voter turnout was 40.5% in the London mayoral election, down 1.5% overall from 2021, London Elects has announced.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-68953047A approved member on TikTok says there are rumours that Susan has won.

They don't start counting until 09:00am tomorrow (edit - gone midnight so today Saturday). Did they use a psychic?

I suspect its almost certain Sadiq Khan will win, it won't quite be as comfortable as some polls suggest (Tories always tend to do a little bit better than polls suggest). I'm more interested to see the margin of victory though, if he wins by more than 10% (which I don't think he will) then that really is a commanding victory for him. I think at best Khan's percentage of the vote will be in the low 40s, but I wouldn't be surprised if he won with even less thanks to the switch to FPTP for mayoral elections. Will also be interested to see how much the new voting system squeezes the Greens and Lib Dems - I'm sure the Greens will still do well on the Assembly list and the Lib Dems have a good shot of winning the SW London Assembly constituency. The unpopularity of the Tories means I don't think Reform's vote will suffer from as much of a squeeze as say the Greens. I doubt Reform will even get many votes in London, except in Barking and Havering. Although 3 other boroughs voted Leave, these are still not staunch anti-Europe areas.

Khan is getting a lot of backlash on X for turning off the ability to reply on his Tweets. Probably doing more damage by doing this as people are just quoting his tweets anyway. If he upsets staff at Westbourne Park garage he will face a lot of backlash at X too.

I hope Proboards have put in place increased resources to deal with the increased forum traffic later this afternoon / evening Well, someone has to kick it off Seems to quash initial rumours that Khan might have taken a hit, but counting is yet to finish in any outer boroughs where any support for Hall is likely to be increased.

What is this, "Pick-Your-Own-Result" day? Wishful thinking if ever there was. P.S. someone tell Lee Anderson he now has a Labour Metro Mayor. And to think, just seven years ago he could have been the candidate.

West Central has gone Labour for the first time ever Khan’s also got North East with a huge majority. Not yet time to count chickens (Hall I think may do very well in the far east and south east), but it’s certainly looking very rosy for Labour at the moment.

At 14.05, the BBC News is reporting live that Labour are 'claiming' victory in London - even though not all the results are in yet. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-68609732Meanwhile, West Midlands is expected around 14.30 and it is said to be "on a knfe-edge".

Quietly confident of not only a win but an increased vote....

Unclear whether he did not vote at all or voted for another candidate He registered to vote in York and North Yorkshire rather than London so did still vote and vote for a Tory candidate, just not the London one

Seems Londoners have used the vote to send a message to the government instead of focusing on is that affect the capital.
I do understand the reason people have done this but still disappointing we will have 4 more years of Khan.
