Frivolous waste of money branding this as anything other than Superloop before any commitment has been gained for a Bakerloo line extension. Other than that, I think this route will be very well used. It is a unique route (a sort of pre-metro, if you like), and any extra costs of branding will be covered by Section 106 developer funding. The route is designed to kick-start the development along the route that will help to justify the Bakerloo Line extension. Wasn't there a pre DLR branded route back in the early 90s? I thinking iv seen a branded Titan before.

Unless the 45 leaving creates space, were would it stand at Elephant & Castle. Also I remember correctly doesn't the 468 temporarily stand on Borough Road I doubt the 468 stand is temporary since its been using it since 2019. It isn’t temporary it was permanently re-routed to Borough Road to make space for the 171 to stand on Lambeth Road

No it doesn’t it can stand on Gaunt Street or Southwark Bridge Road as the 45 will no longer stand there as planned originally in the consultation. The 171 was meant to start and finish In Newington Causeway with the 45 withdrawn. The 468 stand cannot take another route.

The D1, D11 and X15 all ran with a red and white livery and the D1 at least started off with Titans. The X15 was like a bus version of the Beckton branch of the DLR and was finally withdrawn in 1995 2 years after the Beckton extension opened. There was also routes D8 and D9 that started off as services that provided support for the DLR in the early days as it was very unreliable and had lots of technical issues. The D9 mainly ran weekends and evenings when the DLR was closed for engineering works.

S106 funding which could of course be allocated to other uses in the meantime. The good news is that City Hall have not stopped efforts to bring about an actual extension to the Bakerloo line: www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9qvrjnpvr0o

www.se1.news/bakerloop-old-kent-road-bus-sadiq-khan/Sadiq Khan is proposing an express "Bakerloop" bus along the path of the proposed Bakerloo line extension from Lewisham up the Old Kent Road to Elephant as an prequel in the event he is re-elected Mayor on 2nd May. It would use buses in Bakerloo brown livery, as well as similar fixtures and moquette. It would run alongside the existing 21 and 453 routes. View Attachment It may have been mentioned before? I think the Bakerloop could run between Elephant & Castle and Bromley calling additionally at Lewisham hospital, Catford, Bellingham, Downham and Bromley hill. This would give faster links to several stations and areas in SE London.

On a similar theme I've wondered if the SL3 would have been better going via Catford Lewisham Blackheath and Woolwich.

How many years has the Bakerloo line extension been planned yet there has been no attempt to run a bus until now. I am sure it will be used but don’t publicise it as a train route which I personally think is daft.

Superloop/express routes surely are invented to speed up journeys and entice people to use public transport instead of travelling by car.

Bromley South, Bromley North, Bellingham, Catford/Catford Bridge, Lewisham DLR/SE, Deptford Bridge (I'd send it that way to mirror the 453) New Cross, New Cross Gate. I don't really see the benefits of the Bakerloop just running between Lewisham and the Elephant?
