I say this because a consultation won't change the fact that it will serve New Cross Gate, Elephant & Castle and Lewisham via the Old Kent Road. The Streatham to Eltham route in comparison is very ambiguous and could go via a whole plethora of routes The Streatham to Eltham route had the details "via Tulse Hill & Lee" - now whilst that could suddenly change when a consultation drops, it suggests it's only going via one route and that's straight along the A205 as that's the most direct way between all four places. If it does Stop at Lee Station then most like will use Burnt Ash Road and Eltham Road, the worst and most indirect route I would say, what the end result would be is Routes 202 261 & SL16 turning right onto St Mildred’s Road from Burnt Ash Road which gets very congested at times. It would make sense to stop at Baring Road for Lee Station and carry on to Eltham from there. I hope this is not another Route SL3 scenario using Faraday Avenue & Foots Cray Lane instead of Hurst Road which is much faster and less congested.

How is it different from any other proposal. They are all set in stone I think this will be the first with the X472 which has already got the funding if I am not mistaken? As mentioned, they cant be launched before SL4 or the election but I do expect the first few to start by end 2025. I think the electric bus target takes priority over SuperLoop 2 if there are funding issues. I also want improvements to current SuperLoop routes before any new ones added. I think officially the funding was for a Thamesmead waterfront BRT, I'd be slightly annoyed if the promise was a BRT and you just got a Superloop route instead. But what you do say sounds plausible as it probably would fit in the criteria and get the job done a lot cheaper than a BRT. It will no doubt be a full-blown BRT route, just operating under the Superloop banner which appears to have been adopted for all faster/express services

My prediction in regard to the implementation of the Superloop 2 express bus network is that sometime in 2025, it will be the time where the first Superloop 2 routes will start running. TFL will probably shift their focus on Superloop 2 when route SL4 the final route of the original network starts running when the Silvertown Tunnel opens in March 2025 (its expected opening date) and also when TFL enters a new financial year of 2025-2026 from April next year. I expect the Bakerloop "SL15" to be the first Superloop 2 route to be implemented as the launch of that route will court press coverage. In addition, I'm also expecting the Superloop 2 consultation to be launched in the coming weeks/months. Mr Khan was quoted to have said "Before we bring in the Superloop 2, we'll be consulting and engaging because I want Londoners to be involved in this. It's really important [that] Londoners are involved and engaged. So, I'd encouraged those who are concerned they may not get the benefit of the Superloop 2 to please make sure they respond to the presentation". Going by that quote, I imagine the Superloop 2 routes consultation(s) could have extended responding time than usual. Finally on the vehicles front, I am expecting all Superloop 2 routes to be zero emission from the get go because now Mr Khan and TFL are not constrained by the Mayoral election and its associated pre-election rules so they have the time to add the Superloop 2 routes to the tendering programme and enter negotiations with operators within the tenders of the Superloop 2 routes at their own pace. I suspect before September the consultation(s) will have kicked off. I also personally suspect most of the routes will have been introduced by the end of next calender year (2025) and also that they will all use EVs from the start - potentially some orders being rejigged to kick off Superloop routes (I might be wrong but I doubt new Superloop fleet will be any different to normal ones bar external paint job) I've got some ideas of my own on some possible adjustments to the existing/proposed Superloop network which i will aim to post here soon

I'm sure I read it somewhere. We will probably start finding out when the SL1 buses arrive!

I personally think it might mean extra complexity having a specialized interior but as long as it looks good, sounds good to me.

I wonder whether TfL may consider some of the Superloop routes becoming 24 hour services?

I wonder whether TfL may consider some of the Superloop routes becoming 24 hour services? SL7 has a decent shot but not sure the others would be viable. Maybe the SL3?

SL7 has a decent shot but not sure about the others Night Routes should call at all stops I would say. 123 covers SL2 who would want to go North Woolwich Ferry at night other than workers N68 covers SL6 N207 covers SL8 N140 covers SL9 183 covers SL10

It already has stopping equivalents 213 and 285 but only for part of the route and there are obviously still gaps in the night network the SL7 patches so I can see an express night route working there

183 doesn't have a night service (although it should). Was the 183 24 Hour at some point? It used to have a weekend night service I believe, same as the 154.

183 had a night service on Fridays and Saturdays but that was removed during COVID. I do agree with DT11 in this context a stopping 183 would be more useful than SL10 at night
