The 74 will very much come into its own again if the 414 goes as the S Kensington to Marble Arch link. It's more the overlap with the 430 where the spare capacity is now. The 430 could become a Roehampton to Putney feeder route and use the stand space at Putney Bridge but there may be cross Putney demand though. Divert it to Hammersmith, providing some relief to the 220, linking Hammersmith to Putney High Street and restoring the Hammersmith to Roehampton connection while Hammersmith Bridge is closed. Yes if the 430 does remain it would certainly make sense to reroute it to Hammersmith.

Yes this is an idea that I’ve suggested previously, though it’s possible something may have to move out of the bus station for the 430 to stand there.

Probably not, the lower station is vastly underused so could easily accommodate the 430.

Do many people actually use the 27 west of Hammersmith Bus Station anymore? Had the C3 withdrawal gone ahead the revised 328 was intended to terminate in the bus station.

It’s rather astonishing the lower bus station even still exists considering it only has the 110 and 218 as day routes. I suppose TfL are waiting for absolute confirmation about Hammersmith Bridge before selling it off for redevelopment. An undercroft Finchley style lower bus station would be better for the lower station or perhaps a complete redevelopment of both into one larger bus station?

Usually single digit loadings on the 27 on departure westbound from Hammersmith Bus Station.

I’ve noticed a high number of 14’s curtailing to Piccadilly Circus lately & I imagine this will probably increase on the merger. I won’t be surprised if tfl decide to pull the 14 back to Piccadilly Circus & leave the 19/38 to deal with Shaftesbury Ave.

The 19 would still link Museum Street to Knightsbridge and I would still say Piccadilly Circus is a pretty central location.

The 553 uses the lower bus station. Does the 283 stand there as well? The 110,283,533,and N33 terminate at the lower bus station, but the 110/283 start journeys from the upper bus station. The 533/N33 starts and finishes at the lower bus station, with the 72/N72 passing through (Towards Hammersmith Bridge/Roehampton only)

I would argue Piccadilly Circus is more than full too though🤷🏽♂️ The only time buses are curtailed due to events is when the 9 and 23 get piled up on Haymarket like herds of cows and Charles II street where there is space as the 94 would probably be curtailed to OXO. Theres merit and space at TCR if it diverted via St Giles and Seven Dials from Denmark Street and stood at the current 8 stand and then start journeys at St Giles to Cambridge Circus. could the 8 not be moved to the new unused stand at Cambridge Circus and can just turn to New Oxford Street as it does instead of Earnshaw Street, where its had a notorious amount of collisions

It's part of the recently relaunched Holborn Vision.
