Nowadays it seems like the only way to get a dolly stop (or decent temporary arrangements) is to have good local councillors nagging TfL... I noticed how rare it is now to see dolly stops anymore, TfL needs to seriously buck up it's ideas Indeed they do works outside London with the "Temporary Bus Stop" Road sign and dolly stops worked here for years they do sometimes have them i.e roadworks in Romford at start of the year but for some reason 9 out of 10 times it's simply "The next bus stop is closed" it's simply not good enough .

I agree it's absolutely ridiculous and no thought for the safety of passengers dumped a considerable walk from where they want to get to. Some sort of temporary thing could have been put into place to run them out of service to Bow Church. The route still Turns at Mile End bus stand and starts at the first stop but Passengers travelling towards Mile End have to alight 3 stops before about a half a mile walk for safety reasons .

Are there any bus stands where the drivers have to reverse into bays Peckham and Morden Morden doesn’t really count as it’s an open forecourt with no actual bays. Sometimes they just drive in and park up, sometimes they have to reverse.

Have to wonder about the Geniuses who thought it would be wise to place two sets of temporary traffic lights on A205. One at the junction of Brownhill Road & St Mildred’s Road the other 10 yards up the road. Plus another one in Sydenham causing chaos. Route 202 absolutely destroyed today with bunching turns and simply impossible to run a service with the ridiculous amount of delays. Welcome this to the SL16 when it begins…

An FOI request regarding integrating the Oyster Card with Apple Pay: 'We have been considering integrating Oyster with Apple wallets, but do not yet have all the information we require to establish a viable business case for such an investment. However, we also know that we need to update our card readers on buses and in stations in order to do so. The project for this is in-flight, but will take a further 3-4 years to deliver. We have also asked bidders for our new Revenue Collection Contract to propose how we could implement Oyster in digital wallets, although it is not at this stage a mandatory deliverable in the new contract. This contract is due to take effect from August 2026.' tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-1713-2425

How on earth is it simpler. Goodness sake it is just a bus! For someone who is a Diesel fan it is much more simpler to travel on routes that near or 100% operate with them and the 275 is not one anymore sadly. As I said, 5 x in a row were Hybrids so I gave up. How would of you felt if you had to wait 5 x buses or change your route? I would not be that foolish to do something like that when a bus is running. I would say things like LVF have also spoiled people here. Gone 20 years ago you would not have been able to do that.

During my younger years I would literally have to wait at the bus stop, whatever comes would come but at least it was all Diesel 💯👌
