Open data is still not back up. It is quite shocking TfL's business continuity/disaster recovery processes have not restored services one month after the issue. I believe switching off all this is a proactive measure (stated on the TfL tech form). That coupled with the fact that it is believed that most staff aren't back on the internal systems seems to indicate that they are still looking for the vulnerability, possible other back doors and refreshing/enhancing staff IT knowledge/procedure? It's mostly business as usual though barring the Overground renaming being delayed as the tech staff needed for that are dealing with this instead. The only thing that really is poor form is that their own website doesn't seem to be being updated anymore. Open data feeds... sure, not essential, but their own website doesn't have the Walthamstow changes for example...

Open data is still not back up. It is quite shocking TfL's business continuity/disaster recovery processes have not restored services one month after the issue. I am not actually surprised if bits of TfL are still not 100% up and running, given how big TfL is with possible mishmash of modern and legacy technology in play, given not only an data breach, but also compromised data. In short two problems to deal with. TfL staff and external auditors are probably having a field day still trying to desect which bits are safe to turn back on or use and parts are still compromised in an timely manner, given there was compromised data involved in the breach and letters sent not long ago. Compromised data is another headache in itself. I do wonder how far recovery would have gotten if this wasn’t an issue though. That would have slowed recovery for sure. Easily one of the worst parts of working in IT, even when stuff is in place that has stopped a data breach.

Saw a stagecoach Enviro 400 this morning crossing the woolwich ferry , from the direction of the ferry it looks as though it was heading back east side from the south . Anyone have any ideas as to why this would have been on the ferry

How is that more important when buses would have to pass the ferry to get to the Blackwall Tunnel or head several miles in the other direction to Dartford. My post was more than sufficient as an explanation. 🙄

Nobody would realistically use the ferry for such a journey if there wasn't a height restriction.

That's what you would expect people with common sense to do! It's 10 stops to Harrow Bus Station from Harrow Weald Garage, it's not like it's very far. Never over-estimate the ability of the generel public to display common sense. Whoever coined the phrase "The customer is always right" clearly never had to serve one. Trust me, I don't! I drive the 79, 125, 226, 288, 303, 326, 340, H11 & H12. The H11 is the best in terms of passengers followed by the 303, 288 & H12 in that order, the 326 is mid. The 340 is the worst followed by the 226, 125 & 79 in that order.

The A406 is currently closed between Fore Street and Walthamstow Avenue, severely disrupting the SL1, 34 and 444. However there is nothing in live bus arrivals to reflect this disruption. I do hope with iBus2 we can get live status updates on major road disruption.

When I got to Tottenham Hale today all the next few buses on the 41 & 123 were Hybrids.
I ended up testing route W4 which is 100% Diesel operated, takes forever but for some reason really enjoyed it.

In case anybody sees a drop in older bus journey content results they normally watch on YouTube (or listen in background while working), it seems that ChilternTransportProductions has deleted his account and also his Flickr.
A serious blow there if you’re into older workings or running day content across the country and modern stuff along with his vanilla editing style of editing. Tons of lovely legacy videos just gone like that. A real shame.

Yes I have noticed he deleted his channel along with his Flickr (even if he didn't upload many photos on there) about two weeks ago which were the last platforms he was on for bus releted content. I did watched a lot of his videos over the years on various older buses and this kind of does remind me of BGMbuses who had tons of a good content on YouTube that were all gone when he deleted his channel about 2 years ago.

Only noticed until now as only properly getting back on track after an holiday. BGMbuses was another good one for sure. Again, an real shame in the digital era it is easy to create your own content; yet also easy to lose and hard to preserve ; more so when it is an ton of good content difficult to film at best.
Really glad I film at bus events partly due to an frustration of this sort of thing happening.
