Sigh! How is that more important when buses would have to pass the ferry to get to the Blackwall Tunnel or head several miles in the other direction to Dartford. My post was more than sufficient as an explanation. 🙄 Not really as the tunnel is the faster and by far the most convenient route heading to WH which is just around the corner. Nobody would realistically use the ferry for such a journey if there wasn't a height restriction. Not all the time, depends on the time of day. It there is no queue at the ferry, it can be quicker to use that than go via Blackwall tunnel at times which can take near 30 minutes to get to it from traffic on the approaches.

Bustimes.org is still down - thought it would have been up and running again by now

Bustimes.org is still down - thought it would have been up and running again by now Could you imagine a bank saying we can not fix our feeds to other banks over a month after a cyber attack. Politicians would be going ape! Brewery Could Up Not A In P!ss Arrange are the words that spring to mind but maybe in a different order.

Bustimes.org is still down - thought it would have been up and running again by now Bustimes, as a website, is working. Theres no TfL buses tracking because TfL aren't providing the data to the DfT temporarily ever since the cyber attack meaning bustimes can't access data (via BODS) which DfT themselves don't have.

Route 117
Last weekend, I used the 117 from Hounslow to Ashford, then later returned to West Middlesex hospital. Quite a busy route, any reason why it's not a double deck?

Took a trip on a Norwich Wright Kite (nice rhyme😂) for the first time this evening, was interested to see how it would compare with TUK’s 1707 1707 although it had an extremely tasteful and premium looking interior, the build quality was shocking rattling like an old E200 on a vehicle barely 6 months old, and from a company which was once reputable for unrivalled build quality. First Norwich’s 63635 (not my photo) seemed to have a bit better build quality (still had an unacceptable amount of rattles though imo), and the interior lights were broken on one side - on a 24-reg vehicle . More indications of Wright’s shoddy build quality imo. Not being a London vehicle I don’t think it has ISA, and on quiet roads in the evening it absolutely flew (like a kite😆) the driver certainly put his foot down. I would give this vehicle around a 6 out of 10. Still hasn’t dislodged my overall ambivalence towards the type tbh. It does all the superficial things so well and sets a great first impression, but you don’t have to look very far to find evidence of poor quality.

Were the interior lights on one side not simply switched off? I don’t know if the Kite in particular has this functionality but other buses have in the past

But it is possible, I’m sure some drivers can could shed some light if they can do that (pun not intended😂)

Are there any bus stands where the drivers have to reverse into bays Peckham and Morden In that case, when route 45 is diverted to Morden, I hope it is diverted to Peckham (possibly replacing route 345)
