Somehow I think those in TfL Towers will ignore the calls for innovative ideas and will only latch onto the support for Superloop 2. If passengers claim the barrier to bus use for them is slower speeds, I don't see how adding more buses onto congested roads will help. Bus priority can come about without a vanity project. What about revisiting 24 hour bus lanes on red routes for example as was trialled during the pandemic? Superloop isn't a silver bullet, and there's a fervent argument to be made that The Mayor had no intentions to invest in the bus network had he not been forced to due to the ULEZ expansion. Loading bays in bus lanes have to go where possible. Sunday parking allowed in bus lanes/red routes? If people manage to park their cars elsewhere 6 other days of the week I don't see why they need to block the bus lane on a Sunday. Temporary traffic lights need to be reviewed and linked to SCOOT (or whatever its successor is called) -- council officials have told me that it's technically feasible, just expensive. Lots of ideas that are out there which I wouldn't even call 'innovative'!

LIP from Camden regarding bus priority. Most interesting imo is exploring allowing buses SB down Pancras Road which I believe I've suggested on here a few times. Would allow the 46, 63, 214 to avoid the traffic on Midland Road. I don't actually see why it hasn't been permitted given that buses do use Pancras Road NB and the only other traffic SB is taxis (and adding buses to the mix wouldn't cause to much trouble from anecdotal evidence).

I would argue the 63 and 214 would be good options SB Pancras Road, but one route should be kept via Midland as it is right outside one of the main entrances, IMO 46 being the best option.

What DD route will you bet on to be the last to see a Hybrid or Electric working? Between the 121, 291 & 294?! Not included the other 3 which are 66, 150 & 175 cos they are already awaiting Hybrids. I doubt any route will be the last to see an electric working

I don't see the point in keeping one route on Midland Road. A southbound stop on Pancras Road (which would have to be part of the plans) would serve the main entrance to St Pancras station just as well, and would offer much better access to the commercial & office areas round the back of KX. The only real losers would be the Francis Crick Institute, which is a small sacrifice given the positives.

Its still a commonly used alighting point so I would suggest at least one route.

Where I live, it has a made a difference as they also removed as many parking spaces as possible by creating bays that don't interfere with the bus lane itself - been a big help on Brixton Hill especially as the roads normal lanes are now jammed during rush hour due to TfL & the council's constant meddling. Putting parking bays in bus lanes is one of the most stupid things councils & TfL did In Waltham Forest they've done the opposite - several sections of parking spot bus lane on Lea Bridge Road have been replaced with cycle lanes. Absolute madness - I'd rather at least have a working bus lane some of the time... As others have said, this news about bus speed reduction is just about the least surprising news I've heard all year. Let's see if they actually try to increase bus priority now - although I certainly wouldn't hold my breath even for a second outside of Superloop roads. Waltham Forest has gone anti-bus over the past 10 years in favour of cyclists. They have removed so much bus lanes where so much were put in over the 1990's to combat congestion. This has in turn seen people desert buses. Long trunk roads such as Forest Rd, Leyton High Rd, Hoe Streetm Lea Bridge Rd have all seen bus lanes removed or cut up so much there is no consistent flow and serves very little purpose.

Add route 128 to that list. 128 has had an Electroliner working & is also on the blinds just like the 294 (found out this morning). Would you know if the 121 is on the 307s ESs blinds? looking at LVF I see a log in on 27 August, was this a working as it shows for only 57 minutes.

Are strays of Electrics & Hybrids likely to become more frequent or less and stricter with routes using their allocations in the foreseeable future?

A rant, the 128 is one of a few routes that when riding I cannot wait to end. Just drags on and on.

How depressing, I particularly miss the bus lane on Forest Road between Blackhorse Road and Tottenham Hale. Any deincentivisation of bus travel is insane, but particularly at a time where the fleet is in the (admittedly long) process of going zero emission. Just make a 24 hour bus lane and then buses and cyclists are happy!
