More from Camden. One of the components of their Better Bus Partnership bid (TfL will choose 3 boroughs to get that funding iirc) is the enhancement of the 603's hours of operations. More here about buses on page 2 (some are duplicates from the LIP document I shared earlier as that is how those are funded).

Lets see if they go ahead with their proposals if they're one of the ones chosen. This was Lambeth's 2018 draft revised transport strategy - www.lambeth.gov.uk/sites/default/files/co-draft-revised-lambeth-local-plan-october-2018-final.pdf and most of it remains as hopes and dreams bar the Northern Line extension and lift installation at Streatham Station which have both been delivered. I've no idea if Lambeth have an up to date one but I wouldn't be suprised if they don't and I'd be extremely suprised if they ended up one of the three boroughs - knowing them, they'll blow the money on some idiotic scheme instead.

I agree. Bit of a waste of money to be honest. £23mil for this is not worth it considering that Abbey Wood (station and nearby) already has sufficient links to Woolwich (177, 180, 244, 301, 472, 469, southeastern and the Lizzie Line.). 472 is already quick enough from Woolwich to Abbey Wood anyway so replacing it won't do much merit. Bit unreasonable if you ask me.

With the way people talk and plan about transport links to Thamesmead you'd think it was an island in the middle of nowhere with one bus that runs every 4 hours.... the current bus network there is large and Abbey Wood has 10 trillion buses from all over the place already

That’s the one missing link.

I made a post recently about the last route to be run exclusively with Diesel DDs, it was between the 121, 291 & 294.
Gonna take a wild guess and say the last will be the 121 cos afaik the 307s EVs have never strayed and are not even blinded for the route, ofc I have no clue if the 279s new stock will do so.
The 291 is soon up for tender so gonna be interesting to see how TFL will tackle the width issue...

422 route is due to get some more E400Ds for its new contract in January, what got me thinking is where would those extra buses come from ?
Could it be from the D7 when that gets it’s electrics or could it be from somewhere like RM or T

Good news today about Oyster applications for over 60s being reintroduced, but I'm just wondering how much longer until the ever increasing number of routes not tracking are fixed. Situation is getting more embarrassing by the day, I had to tell some confused people on Blackstock Road the other day that the 4 was indeed operating (but not tracking). I'm no expert in cyber security but it's been well over 2 months now, this really can't be helping patronage.

It has length problems around Plumstead which only allow it to take 10.2m buses.

Lots of the LIP stuff (and other, including BBP) is being discussed in council committee meetings this month. Camden, Kingston and Hillingdon are the ones whose LIP proposals I've seen so far. Westminster's should be coming at their meeting later this month. No clue about Lambeth but do keep an eye out as it'd likely be this month or early December at the latest.

I think it would be a great idea for within the congestion charge zone however if its all of London like ULEZ, it would be a stupid and unreasonable plan.

On the contrary, I'd support it only if it's London wide - if it's only going to target the center or Inner London, then it's not really going to be effective IMO. I'd also make sure there are discounts towards those who need a car for disability or work purposes.
