Am I being a little pessimistic when I say that looks very similar to the old arrangement but with the pavements a bit wider and some fancy-looking stone used?

Bad News is... all route 138,269,336 & 367 is go ahead with all change to reroute in Bromley North Area to avoid the East Street.
it start on Saturday 7th June.
It look like people will take long walking to Bromley North or Widmore Road bus stop for route 269!!!! I Hope TfL put up the notes to warning to people while at bus stop soon before the change!

I think the 269 should terminate at Bromley Market Square using Bromley as the Stand.

i thought about why not route 269 go to Downham (via208/320) then again the traffics will not help this route 269 at all!

It's good that East Street is no longer served by buses as there is no need to run anything down it. As for the 269, it should of been re-routed towards Bexleyheath by turning right from Bromley North into Tweedy Road, then left into London Road & follow the 208 to Kentish Way.

I think there were once plans for the 269 to go the way you suggested once East Street was closed. The 336 was also going to use Farwig Lane from College Rd onto London Rd then through Market Square.

Bromley Market Square, West Street then Bromley North Station. The 269 will now poorly serve Bromley

No, I imagine they won't - and Downham isn't a very useful objective Actually, that's not a bad idea. Market Square to Downham is given 10 minutes on the 208 and that's generous. Traffic along that stretch is fairly free-flowing and there's already a bus stand situated in Downham. It would also give a little bit of assistance to the 208 and 320 since all the stops between the Market Square and Downham are very popular. Downham itself isn't a very useful objective but I'm not sure that's the problem here. We're looking for a way for the 269 to continue serving Bromley properly and this is as good a way as any of the other suggestions for this to happen No, I imagine they won't - and Downham isn't a very useful objective Would probably be better to have the First stop and Last Stop Bromley Market Square. It probably wouldn't add too much to the PVR of the 269 to run it up to the old 181 stand in Downham, you're right. And it would enable TL to help out on that end of the route more easily if needed.

I thought i let you know that this date of 7th June is now take off from Change bus service Live travel on TfL. Don't know whatever delay until further notice?
Unless Anyone at Metrobus/Stagecoach may know why?

Unless Anyone at Metrobus/Stagecoach may know why? Havent heard anything but perhaps the general public have complained about it.... or Bromley Council have delayed the date for work to begin
