Wasn't it someone on Bromley Council who caused the demise of Ken's "Fares Fair" initiative back in the early 80's?

This could be the cause of a bit of confusion given the number people that use the Market Square stop...

well i think bus stop did give the notes to warning to all people when getting on buses and then know it coming up next tuesday, that bus stop will be remove! however other people may not know, im hoping the ibus will telling them 'next bus stop closed' before leave the bus stop.

We have been heavily encouraged to use the PA before leaving the Town Hall stop to advise passengers that we won't be serving the Market Square. It'll get through eventually although I think they've missed a trick in not introducing a stop on Tweedy Road. There's going to be a pretty large section of Bromley that won't be served in the northbound direction and a stop on Tweedy Road before we turn right onto London Road would help to alleviate this problem

A few of the 269 drivers I've spoken to have said they thought the loop should be re-introduced. I think it makes sense; a vast number of people used the Market Place and Town Hall stops for the 269 out towards Bexleyheath and it's a long walk up to the North or out to Widmore Road, particularly for the many elderly people using the service
