Not just that, it allows Thornton Heath and South Norwood to have a route linking them, as well as connecting South Norwood and Streatham. Personally, I'd extend the 130 to Thornton Heath but via the direct routeing of South Norwood Hill & Whitehorse Lane rather than around the back of Selhurst Park - match days would cause less havoc with my suggested routeing than the one they proposed. If Spring Lane decides to be re-opened to heavy vehicles, than maybe then an extension to Streatham Village via High Street, Brigstock Road, Brook Road, Beulah Road, Norbury Avenue, Streatham High Road. The 130 is pretty much dead between Addington Village & Shirley anyway so it might possibly work. Or extended to Mitcham via Pollards Hill and Commonside East.

Lets merge the 312 and the 255! I don't really know either route but why did you suggest merging two routes that have a great big gap between them? Genuine question btw. Looking at the bus map there does seem to be some potential for a route to link on from the 255 via Thornton Heath, Norwood and on to either Elmers End or Beckenham Junction. I suspect a new route from Elmers End to Balham (including proposed 255 extension) might do well over several sections but with perhaps few people travelling end to end.

Although Pollards Hill to Thornton Heath and South Norwood would be a good link, combing the 312 and 255 seems too windy overall for longer journeys. Those from north of Pollards Hill to Croydon and further south would be better using the 60. The idea of extending the 130 would provide much better links from Streatham and Norbury to South Norwood, as well as new links east of Croydon like Addington.
For a southbound extension of the 255 I would rather see it go to Sutton, which would provide all new links from the Streatham, Norbury, and Pollard's Hill areas, and if it goes via Hackbridge it would be a new link from there too. Although that would have to loop on itself to serve Pollards Hill then back to use Manor Road and Windmill Road to get to Croydon Road. The alternative would be a windy section going on to Thornton Heath Pond, then Thornton Road and Mitcham Road to reach Carshalton Road.
But from there it can then just follow the main roads, turning from London Road into Acre Lane and through Carshalton to Sutton. As there is only the 407 running that latter stretch (as well as the X26 but that misses most of the stops) the duplication is minor, while other than the S1 also connecting Mitcham Junction with Sutton via a different route all the other links on this extension would be unique.

Couple of things from me then!
13 - extended to City Hall via Fleet Street, Ludgate Circus, Blackfriars Bridge, Southwark Street, London Bridge and Tooley Street. To provide only bus link between London Bridge Stn and the West End and between Oxford Street and the South Bank. Alternative to 521 and 17 between London Bridge and Fleet Street/Aldwych. As Thameslink Programme works continue, will provide essential Blackfriars/Charing Cross-London Bridge link.
46 - Withdrawn between Hampstead Heath and Farringdon Street. Reduced in frequency to every 20 mins and extended to Notting Hill Gate. A new route, 446, wil operate every 15 mins (DD) between Golders Green and Monument Station via route 268 to Hampstead, 46 to Holborn Circus, 8 to Bank Station, then to King William Street. To terminate and stand on Fish Street Hill and to pick up on Arthur Street.
98 - Extended to Neasden Library via Dudden Hill Lane - to provide direct Neasden - Kilburn/Central LDN link.
278 - New route. From Smiths Farm Estate via Lady Margaret Road, Southall, Ealing Hospital, Tentelow Lane, Norwood Green Road, Heston Aerodrome, Cranford Lane to Bath Road (Nobel Drive). Possible extension to Heathrow Central and Terminal 5 due to lack of T1/3-5 bus link and quicker Cranford - T5 link. Will be Ealing Hospital's link to Smiths Farm and southern Southall. Great link for Heathrow and Southall workers.
479 - New route. From Enfield via Southbury Road, Ponders End Station, Meridian Way, Glover Drive Tesco & Ikea, Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters, Stoke Newington, Shacklewell Lane, Dalston Junction to Hoxton (Pitfield Street/St John the Baptist Church)
Also, I would propose a route to provide a desperately needed round-the-corner link between Harrow-North Wembley-Wembley Central. Perhaps to extend the H14? Or new route to support 182? Circular H17?
I agree with a SE Orbital express, such as an Addington Village/Croydon-Bluewater service. It would also be a good idea to have a TfL bus link to Ebbsfleet International considering the lack of Eurostar services calling at Stratford and the benefits of a South London parkway station.

You'll find that historically the 13 DID go to London Bridge, Mon-Sat, via Fleet St & Cannon St, was cut back to Aldwych when the 513 Red Arrow was inaugurated. Likewise the 17 went to London Bridge via Southwark Bridge & Southwark St. If you had the option and time was of the essence would you travel by bus or the Jubilee Line to reach the West End?

Not everybody wants to use the tube, a bus link between London Bridge and the West End is needed Perhaps a new bus route from London Bridge to Victoria via the West End? The only route towards the City from Victoria is the 11. There was one when the 10 went from Victoria to Wanstead via London Bridge. Is there any bus route from the east which terminates at London Bridge these days, which could be extended to Victoria via the Borough. I ask as I don't go up to that part of town anymore

The limited stop 705 was the last route to run between London Bridge & Victoria in the early 00's.

Personally I'd extend the 9 to London Bridge if there was a new opportunity to create new links etc. Over Waterloo Bridge then onto London Bridge via Southwark Street.

Only trouble is, no link to Victoria or Oxford Circus But other parts of the West End are: Piccadilly Cicrcus, Trafalagar Square, The Strand. Plus you link parts of West London (Hammersmith, Kensington etc) into the City and South Bank.
