467 to be diverted via Chessington WoA, and to then run via Mansfield Park estate and then to follow K4 route up to Kingston - amalgamate both routes into a useable route. And to run at times separate to the 418 instead of running through West Ewell together ever hour!
418 and 406 both should be extended to Epsom Hospital permanently instead of just school runs. Helps to lower silly amount of double deckers (can be up to 8 in Epsom at any one time!) at Clock Tower. Reroute 406 to avoid Grange Mansions.
166 permanently extended to Epsom.
470 to be diverted through Ewell Village then along past Grange Mansions, Organ Roundabout and past BP.
216 extension to Thorpe Park, so I don't have to laze about waiting at Staines to get to work! Just kidding..

I would make a route from Archway, the Whittington Hospital to Homerton Hopsital: Following the route of the 210 to finsbury park, under the finsbury park bridges, 106 to stoke newington then the 276 to Homerton.
Also I like the idea of the Waltham Cross / Tottenham / Hackney link but the Greater anglia train does this, but a bus might be good.

Extensions
50 to Vauxhall via South Lambeth Road. Vauxhall is a major and useful interchange, terminating at Stockwell is frustratingly close yet too far to be suggest as an easy walk.
118 to Peckham via Brixton Road, Vassal Road, Camberwell New Road, and Peckham Road. Creates a lot of new links, and provides an alternative route between Brixton and Camberwell/Peckham to alleviate those via Loughborough Junction.
249 to Clapham Junction and Elmers End. From Clapham South run along The Avenue, Battersea Rise, and St John's Road. This gives new links to Clapham Junction from Balham, southern Streatham and Norwood, and avoids duplicating existing routes. This would replace the section from Clapham South to Clapham Common Old Town, which is little used as it turns short of Clapham Common station and the shops so does not really serve anywhere but the college, which would still be reached from everywhere except Tooting Bec Road via the 50 or 155. At the other end a simple run down Anerley Road and Elmers End Road, which is unserved by direct buses so connects Crystal Palace with Elmers End, and provides many areas with connections to Tramlink.
333 to St George's Hospital. Despite being the main local hospital and A&E department, there is no direct service between Streatham Hill and central Streatham.
417 to Putney Bridge and Penge. Penge has no service west of Crystal Palace so this would provide it with links into south west London. I would suggest following the 227 so it avoids the congestion on Anerley Hill and continues to serve the bus station (though without going in) for easy connection with other routes. In the north along Clapham Common Long Road, Battersea Rise, North Side Wandsworth Common, East Hill, Richmond Road, Putney High Street. As well as the new links it creates, not going via St John's Road will allow quicker journey times for those travelling between Wandsworth and Clapham or beyond, alleviating exiting routes.
Also extend the 319 into the night. There is a large area within Clapham to Streatham (N137) to Tooting (57) to Wandsworth (N44) to Clapham (37) but it has only one night bus (N155) running through it, north east to south west. The 319 would provide a north west to south east service and give whole areas access to a night bus. This could either be as an extension to the N19, terminating an N319 at Clapham Junction to complement the N19, or just make the 19 and 319 into 24 hour routes. But at the moment there is a lot of people with no service within reasonable distance.

As far as extensions go I would say extend the 250 via Brixton Road, Kennington Church and Oval to terminate at Vauxhall (N250 to finish at Victoria).

Just a proposal, re route, Route 263 so it can directly serve the New Finchley Memorial Hospital between Stops Leisure way - Granville Road instead of passengers having to walk 1/2 a mile just to reach the complex which is for Geriatric patients and Fracture clinics e.t.c. where accessibility is key.

Following A,B,C instead of normal routing of A - C UPDATE - The Green Grass area is the site of the New hospital instead of the former small one seen in the image

I take it you have not been inside? They have a whole notice board of proposals that are to be sent to Barnet Council to forward on to whom it may concern. This is just one of the items on the board.

I've been trying to think of some decent realistic proposals, but can't think of any ;d
Would be great to have the Essex 250 (Waltham Cross - Waltham Abbey - Loughton - Debden) become a TfL route (like it was originally). It would give Waltham Abbey a TfL service again (like someone has already suggested), and would connect the TfL services of Waltham Cross and Loughton. Maybe even extend it over the 327. Or maybe more realistic would be to extend the 327 to Waltham Abbey.
Also, would be brilliant to see the 375 extended to Abridge, Debden and maybe Loughton. Might be more of a realistic proposal if Essex CC funded the Passingford Bridge - Loughton section.
Both my proposals are unlikely to ever happen, so are fantasy really.

Seeing as the thread has mysteriously changed from 'Invent 2 new bus routes' to 'post bus extensions that you'd really like to see implemented' ( ), I thought I'd share some of my ideas. Route 50- diverted to Victoria Station, at Clapham Common (via routes 137 and 44) Route 249- extended to Elmers End (via Birbeck) Route 417- diverted to Clapham Junction, at Atkins Road ( via Poynders Road, Clapham South Stn & The Avenue- completely missing out Clapham Common) Route 432- diverted to Norwood Junction, at Crystal Palace (via Hamlet Road, Auckland Road and Lancaster Road) and extended to Elephant and Castle at the other end.

But at the moment there is a lot of people with no service within reasonable distance. The 50 is already quite a long route end to end and whilst extending it to Vauxhall does create new links and is only up the road, it could make the route unreliable. The 118 proposal is a good idea. Your 249 extension misses out an important section - the 35 & 37 corridor which needs an extra route to help it out as both routes get packed to rafters. I know 'PVL371' mentions the 345 but that route is also busy along there. Also, the bus stop that the 249 serves at Clapham Common is only a minutes walk from the station - hardly missing it out. From what I can remember, stand space at St. George's Hospital is pretty full with the three routes that currently terminate there plus Blackshaw Road is a bottleneck for traffic - I've spent ages sitting on a bus there in traffic countless times. However, you might be able to solve that problem if you reversed the loop. Your 417 proposal sounds good but you miss out Clapham Junction - one of the most important places along the route. A simple N19 extension to Streatham Hill Telford Avenue would solve that problem. Apologies, I'm hard to please as many already know ;D

Right, I'll put my proposals into one post for people to disect:
130 - Extended to Thornton Heath via Selhurst Park creating new links between New Addington, Norwood Junction & Thornton Heath.
197 - Extend it to South Croydon Garage via it's current dead run.
312 - Extend over the 412 from Park Lane-Purley and convert to DD's.
345 - Diverted at Brixton to Brixton Lambeth Town Hall with new route 445 covering the Brixton-Peckham section.
415 - Withdraw completely.
417 - Extend it to Anerley Station via Anerley Road relieving pressure off Crystal Palace Bus Station.
432 - Extend it to Elmers End Interchange via Birkbeck Tramstop & extend it to Elephant & Castle via current 415 routeing. Not only does Crystal Palace have a direct routeing with Birkbeck & Elmers End but also creates new links from these places with Brixton-Elephant & Castle.
445 - New route - Clapham Junction to Lewisham via Lavender Hill, Cedars Road, Clapham Common, Clapham North, Stockwell, Brixton Police Station, Loughborough Junction, Camberwell Green, Peckham, Queens Road Station & New Cross. This would take over the 345 east of Brixton and creates an east to west link - something which South London lacks.
I also have a proposal to extend the 255 to Clapham Park via the 57 but I can't justify sending another double deck route down Brixton Hill. It would give the 255 more purpose though.

As I've already done two new routes, here's two extensions I think will work well.
129 : through the Blackwall Tunnel, then the East India Dock Road to Canning Town, then via Barking Road and Prince Regent Lane to Newham University Hospital.
401 : from Bexleyheath via the B12 to Coldblow, then Oakfield Lane, Hawley Road, Princes Road, Darenth Valley Hospital, then Bluewater.

Twobellstogo I like your idea for the 401 to Darent Valley Hospital and Bluewater. Also think the Blackwall Tunnel could do with another cross river bus route linking South East and East London so running the 129 through Blackwall Tunnel could also work.
