392: Chiswick Business Park (as it has spare stand space!) to Brixton (or Streatham Hill), creating a west-south link, via either: 27 to Kensington, 52 to Victoria (doing something the 452 doesn't do!), VCS, Chelsea Bridge, Queenstown Road Stn, Clapham Common, Clapham North to Brixton or - 27 to Olympia, Earl's Court, Cheyne Walk, Battersea Bridge, Battersea Park Road then either as above or via Vauxhall, Stockwell to Brixton or - 27 to Hammersmith, 220 to Wandsworth, Battersea Rise, Clapham Common then either as first scheme or Clapham South, Clapham Park to Streatham/Hill In your 392 proposal, what route would you go between Clapham North & Brixton because the 322 goes via Landor Road and doesn't need another route just bigger buses, the P5 goes via Bedford Road which has a low bridge and again, doesn't need another route so I'm guessing it would follow the 345 instead? I had thought following the 345 was the best option between Clapham North and Brixton in any case, so yes. If not, the route could go via Clapham Park Road/Acre Lane to Brixton (and omit Clapham North). I knew however Bedford Road was not an option in any case.

Route 409
From Ealing Broadway Station, then via route 65 to Brentford, then via 235/237 to Hounslow Bus Station, possibly Treaty Centre, then via N9 to Heathrow Central and Terminal 5, where the route will terminate. Frequency: Every 7-8 mins Peak, 10 mins Monday-Saturday daytime, 12-15 mins Sundays and Evenings. Operated by Metroline from Brentford (AH) garage with Volvo B5L/Wright Gemini 2 (VWHs), London United from Hounslow (AV) with Alexander Dennis Enviro400H (ADH) or Abellio from Hayes (WS) with Alexander Dennis Enviro400H (24xx) Provides links between Ealing and Hounslow, as well as connecting Ealing and Heathrow by TfL bus, as well as providing a more direct alternative to the 111 and a more frequent ground shuttle between Terminals 1/3 and 5 during the daytime (believe it or not the N9 is MORE frequent than the 441!)

Swap 201 and 322 routings between Tulse Hill and Herne Hill, then convert the 201 (then low bridge free) to double decker and extend to Camberwell Green.

I really like that, it would be a useful new link especially the connection to Kings College and Maudsley hospitals. Both are local ones to Streatham which people get referred to yet there is no direct link. Would the Upper Tulse Hill section work with double deckers? It would be easy enough to reroute to just use Christchurch Road but would be a shame to lose that section.

Double-deckers will be no problem as the area had double deck operation in the early 90s when the 200 was temporarily extended beyond Streatham to Tulse Hill. The route was very shortly afterwards broken into the intended 200 (present form) and 201 (Tulse Hill to Mitcham Cricketers) where double deck operation continued a little while longer prior to conversion.

Like the 409 idea, new links which should have been provided years ago. Route 421, Kingston to Heathrow Terminal 5. New links provided :- quick direct link to Terminal 5 from all areas served , quicker Kingston to Heathrow than the 111 & 285 and comparable with x26. Regular bus link to the Kingston Sainsburys Surey Basin area of North Kingston. From North Kingston via Cromwell Road Bus Station, Eden Street, Kingston Bridge, Hampton Court, Hampton Village , Hampton Station, A308 serving Kempton Racecourse, Sunbury Cross, via 235 to Lower Feltham, then via Chertsey Road, Bedfont Road, Feltham, Young Offenders Institute, Great South West Road , Stanwell Road, double run via Terminal 4 then back to Terminal 5 via cargo area. 0400 - 0600 every 30 mins 0600 - 2000 every 20 mins 2000 - 0000 every 30 mins

Kent County Council/Arriva won't allow TfL routes onto Fastrack, and I can't see that changing. Rest of the route is probably adequately covered by other routes (472, 428 and others) It does bring up the Crossrail question though : I feel an extra route or two connecting Abbey Wood with other local places not currently linked would be useful : notably Upper Belvedere and Welling.

This would need some infrastructure changes and some dedicated bus stop lay bys on the limited stop section. I also had a Idea of a 96X as I use the route at Least Once a week from woolwich - bluewater Follow the normal 96 route to Bexleyheath then Run fast via the A2 to bluewater Frequency mon-fir 06:30-10:30 Every 15 minutes 10:30-15:30 Every half an hour 15:30-18:30 Every 15 minutes 15:30-21:30 Every half an hour This would provide a fast service for workers at Bluewater and For shoppers during the day Sat Frequency 07:30-21:30 Every 30 minutes Sun 08:30-21:30 Every 30 minutes And do increased Times for special events ie Christmas shopping.

The way you've done your post makes it impossible for me to quote you, but if I were thinking of an express from Bexleyheath to Bluewater, I wouldn't have it following the 96's western end first : they after all already have a link to Bluewater! In any case, the 96 is not particularly slow in its current form.
On balance, an express from Bexley to Bluewater would probably be a luxury : in this climate, not a good idea, sadly.
