Hey all
I was wondering what routes in London, which could operate a better service or have better buses to run on the route.
Me personally I wouldn't mind seeing Stagecoach take over Route 388, it may seem a bit far fetched as the 388 runs across HK but I would prefer E40Ds or something similar along the lines on the route rather than a East Lancs Trident.

This is kind of a pointless speculation thread.

Virtually anything in Hounslow could be run by London United.
Anything other than 09-reg SPs are better on the 111 (even the old VA/VPs)
Abellio could operate the 110, 216, H22
Who knows? Maybe in 10 years time Abellio will be the size of London United. Before takeover by NedRailways, Travel London had a PVR of 392. Now that number has increased by 110 to 502.

If they want to increase in size substantially they're probably going to need at least one more garage in West London and SE London. Walworth and QB are meant to be pretty full at the moment, and with the K-route wins it seems unlikely they're going to keep having space at Fulwell. It must be stifling their ability to tender for anything in the Southwark area and considering how much of Go-Ahead's work comes up for tender in 2014... If Abellio needed more space for Southwark/Lambeth/Wandsworth area contract wins they could easily transfer the 3, 156 or P13 to BC.

Yes, true that they could transfer the 3 or 156 though BC is a fair distance from the 156 (8 miles or so). The 3 can feasibly be run from BC however as it was for a long time Yes you're right, i keep thinking the P13 is still at WL. ;D The Wimbledon end of the 156 is roughly the same distance as the Crystal Palace end of the 3 and 322. There's also a major pro and con, the pro being a direct tram service between BC and the 156....the con being if the tram service is for any reasons suspended.

Abellio could operate the 110, 216, H22 They could BUT could they offer a better service? My opinion is NOT, based on the Feltham & Staines area routes they operate, quite shocking at times

I get the feeling part of peoples' problem with Abellio in west London is routes with inadequate capacity, e.g. the 112, 117, 235 But as you pointed out, it happens everywhere in London with just about every operator so to me, you can't judge an operator on that basis.

Mrred you should know that ;D I was thinking of day services and how the 8 and 25 used to serve Victoria The 8 to Victoria was a good link. However, I was quite sadden due to the fact that the 8 was getting shortened to OC to reduce traffic flow in the Oxford Street area.. Now you'd have to have all that fuss on changing to a C2 at OC which does the old section Route 8 or change at TCR for a 38.
