The 313 between Sewardstone and Ponders End (in between the reserviors)- 40mph and no bus stops for a good stretch of it. Also near the other end The Ridgeway between Chase Farm and the M25- 50mph
The 215 summer extension beyond Yardley Lane to Lea Valley Camp Site
Of course there is the A10 down the M4 Heathrow Spur
I agree with the 498- once done end to end in 22 minutes!

57: Raynes Park - Kingston Hospital 61: Orpington - Chislehurst 138: Bromley South - Hayes 160: St Mildred's Road - Eltham Green, Chislehurst - Sidcup 208: Orpington - Petts Wood, Bromley, Market Square - Downham 246: Westerham - Coney Hall 273: Mottingham Road - Petts Wood 284: Grove Park - Grove Park Cemetery 269: Pretty much most of the Route. 320: Biggin Hill Valley - Bromley Common, The Crown, Bromley, Market Square - Downham 356: Birkbeck - Shirley 358: Farnborough - Bromley, Common, The Crown R2: Biggin Hill Valley - Keston Mark P4: Dulwich Common The whole P4 can be pretty fast if you get a good driver and an MPD off-peak, especially at night. The 284 is also good between Lewisham and Catford if you can stand being shaken Most of the R2 is pretty good, even between Keston and Orpington you get speed. Another two near there are the 314 and 353, which get some good speed around Addington/New Addington.

Route 85 along the A3 in Roehampton Vale The 85 at night is pretty much driven fast end to end. I used to love that route thrash back in the 90s when London United had the step entrance Palantine bodied DB250s, which I believe (and heavily subject to correction) were leased from Arriva (non London) who had lost the route before its time.

If I may interject a little here with my experiences from driving some of these..... 61: Orpington - Chislehurst Really? We get so much time that we are usually crawling along here. Maybe if we're running late for some reason.... Orpington to Petts Wood you can have, but only at night. You're not having Market Square to Downham though. Between 7 and 11 minutes is way too much time most of the time. When the schools are out we still get ten minutes in rush hour to get between Downham and the Market Square and it's about 4 minutes too much! Again, you'll only get a fast ride here at night and when we're late and when the 320 has cleared the road! You can very much have this one. Lots of fun driving the 246 along here, especially since one rarely has to stop between Coney Hall and Biggin Hill! If one wants a fast ride, I recommend this one at night. Unless they've changed the running time, it's pretty tight - not that it needs to be since there's plenty of stand time at each end

Oh, then, of course you have the 636/637/638 school buses that use the A20. Lots of fun turning onto the slip road and powering down it, or up it of course!

Route N3 Route 122 Crystal Palace - Lewisham Route 8 for about 1min as it goes down the A12.. ;D Route N8 Depends on the driver you have an if there isnt any traffic within the city then you be able to get thrash from Holborn to Liverpool Street then from Shoreditch down to Stratford. From Wanstead down to Hainault.
Route 108 A11 and A12 baring the blackwall tunnel. l

As for the 61, I've only experienced when First ran the route with those quick B7TL's.

The Keston/Biggin Hill area on the 246/320 always brings good speed, it's especially fun with the Scanias. The X26 as mentioned by Snoggle is another good one. Funnily enough another good route for Citaros is the 227, on a non-busy time they really get up to speed. The 96 and 492 are good routes with the speed between Dartford and Bluewater, unfortunately the 96 does crawl a bit between that point and Woolwich. The 492 is meant to be good across most of the route though. The R8 is an interesting one if the roads are clear, and it's quite an experience on the country lanes as the roads are very narrow but the small Solos are pretty plucky. Saltbox Hill on the 464 is also a good one, the downhill ride is fantastic in any bus that happens to be on there. My favourite though, simply because it brings speed to an often very slow area, is the 76, especially on Waterloo Bridge. The acceleration on those HVs is fantastic and you don't get speed like that in Central London from many other routes, even the 15 or 139. The 492 is pretty good, particularly along the North Cray Road; however the journey time on that route always feels particularly painful for some reason. Gravel Hill good if you want to hear a bus work. 132 on its section between North Greenwich & Kidbrooke is pretty good when it enters the A2. If one wants a fast ride, I recommend this one at night. Unless they've changed the running time, it's pretty tight - not that it needs to be since there's plenty of stand time at each end Is the 269 particularly fun to drive? Or the Trident because you lot at TB are pretty good at extracting some speed from them & you seem to enjoy cornering in them pretty d*mn quickly of an evening!

From my experience when i was at school (3 years ago now), the 53 reg Tridents do have some serious power in them when the driver plants their foot to the floor. I do agree with Paul about the 636 and 637 as Tridents would regularly be pushed to their limits on the A20, before RIBAS was introduced.

I can vouch for the late 269s being given a good hammering throughout the route I can also vouch for the N207s as described by Q - BV!! Although it does depend which one you get on if going eastbound. If you've been waiting a few minutes for a bus, sometimes it's best to let it go and wait up to 7 minutes for the next bus. I always make the mistake of getting on the first one (always busy,) only for the craftier drivers to fly past at the busiest stops (Ealing Broadway and Shepherd's Bush) with their empty buses, never to be seen again! The Uxbridge drivers probably have a harder job to do as the Hayes drivers know how to play the game . Don't think there's much escaping a slower ride going west however. The eb run at weekends are a fun ride due to the speeds involved. The wb runs are weekends are a madness. I did notice those ones tend to downshift a lot. To get the best acceleration out of them, constantly tap the gas pedal until the revs hit around 2400 The N87 drivers are always dashing around like they were supposed to be at their destination yesterday. The N7 and N9 drivers tend to go as fast as the bus/road conditions permit. Remember one N7 driver treating Du Cane Road like a slalom course, going around the traffic island chicanes without releasing the throttle! Pity the buses don't sound very inspiring. The N113 is good for a fast ride. The nb N89s are always pretty d*mn quick although again, the buses are far from exciting! The N47s fly along south of Catford. If you like Voith Tridents being floored with countless downshifts, this is the route to do. Seem to recall The The N15s fly along between Romford and Canning Town. I think those Hybrids are limited to 50 - I know what 45mph sounds like as that's what the ones I drove at QB were limited to, but those Stagecoach examples are ever so slightly quicker. It's not quite the same with an E400 however. The N26 is also a bit of a lively ride between Temple Mills and Chingford. On the subject of night routes, there are some which are a waste of time if you're after thrash. These are the N2, N11, N18, N22, N26, N35, N109, N137, N253 and the N279. The very worst of the lot must be the N343 and N381, which are timed for a Blackpool donkey.

n11 and night times 295 put there foot down between Fulham Broadway and Hammersmith and some drivers don't slow for the speed bumps I almost went flying out the seat once and that's no joke
