Try the 133 or 159 between Streatham Station and Brixton before 7am, especially on a Sunday. Full bore take-offs and no mercy as you only get 12 minutes to do it in! Moz Might give the 159 a go one day, as I quite like the sound of the screaming VLA. I saw the TG Africa special... Haringey's twinned with Uganda, which explains all the potholes in our roads ;D The 243 is good for thrash (Lordship Lane / Bruce Grove / Stoke Newington Common / Haggerston), and especially DLAs 233 and 243 DW451 and 462 are rapid too 258 is another good route for thrash, and the 142 Again, in the pursuit of hearing the VLAs at their best I have done a few late evening journeys on the 142/258/340 but the drivers always seem to take it really easy![/quote] Try weekends for the 142 & 258

Route N3 Route 122 Crystal Palace - Lewisham Route 8 for about 1min as it goes down the A12.. ;D Route N8 Depends on the driver you have an if there isnt any traffic within the city then you be able to get thrash from Holborn to Liverpool Street then from Shoreditch down to Stratford. From Wanstead down to Hainault. Route 108 A11 and A12 baring the blackwall tunnel. l The 122 Crystal Palace-Lewisham isn't exactly the fastest section of the route, the northern section of the route is faster (in my experience as someone living on the southern section)

You can also get some good speed along the 257 between Leytonstone and Whipps Cross.

You can also get thrash on Routes 123 & 230 along Forest Road, particularly heading towards North London. Similarly there is also a speed camera just as your crossing the Lee Valley

Took the 25 home after library evenings a few times and they were pleasant journeys.

During the day it can be *very* slow though, took about 3 minutes to do two stops from Stepney Green to Queen Mary today.

Oh during the day it's awful. It has 17 minutes to do Mile End to Aldgate (East?), which is too much even in the morning peak. Drivers have to actively 'lose time' and then of course then hit traffic at Bank and then become late.

Route N8 is a very good candidate... After Stratford, it is magical! Great memories from 2012!

The 85 at night is pretty much driven fast end to end. I used to love that route thrash back in the 90s when London United had the step entrance Palantine bodied DB250s, which I believe (and heavily subject to correction) were leased from Arriva (non London) who had lost the route before its time. yh those were the R***CKO batch from Arriva Croydon & North Surrey, forerunner to Southern Counties. A little trivia :- Arriva used to run the H26 shortly after they took over London&Country I think interestingly the DB250s were ZF Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

Or at least the one that I travelled on.
