I clearly questioned "Do we really need a new thread to report this" I have nothing against his post. The post could have gone into the "Turns & Observations" thread IMO.

I just wonder, since 9H is operated by RM's and follow part of the main route, i would not see the fuss of them coming over to London United to train the conductors up because of their knowledge of the route. One conductor on the 9H knows every single bus stop on the 9H.

Doe we really need a new thread to report this? As there is a change coming to the operation of the route with vehicles (because of the type to be used) any ramifications/observations/news etc could be posted here rather than clog other threads - so at this time I have no objection and I sure my colleagues in Moderation will comment if they feel differently.

I hope the introduction of LTs on the 9 doesn't mean that TfL will see this as an excuse to get rid of the 9H and its RMs (same routing, open platform vehicles)

I hope the introduction of LTs on the 9 doesn't mean that TfL will see this as an excuse to get rid of the 9H and its RMs (same routing, open platform vehicles) It is not a totally daft question. If the 9 can have a mid contract variation, its not unreasonable to apply same logic to 9H. Both the heritage routes are in the tender program, but its just a short working of a route so could easily be another West End tourist route instead of 9.

It would be nice to have a North-South route such as 159H Paddington - Kennington (Imperial War Museum)

I've said it elsewhere, but I think I'd prefer to see a more frequent 15H, with extensions at each end to Aldgate and Conduit Street, and the removal of the 9H altogether. The current effort with the RMs seems just a little half hearted, imo.
