The 8 is being done at the end of June, Not trying to push on your thoughts but why would 15 LT conversion be a surprise to you? I would of thought route 15 would be a sure bet to be a LT route. Is it because 15 already has hybrids working on the route?

Nothing to do with the current allocation but for other reasons I can't divulge. I am not saying it won't, I am saying I would surprised if we manage to achieve that route conversion this year.

Is it because 15 already has hybrids working on the route? Leon Daniels has said they have no plans to convert the route. I know he's said there are "no plans" but we all know what that means. It's on a par with "I am not resigning" and "I have full confidence in "x"". I am not saying anyone is lying just that plans can and do change.

Is it me or do these buses seem to be being built really quick. Is it really going to take until 2016 to get all 600? If the 10 is converting in Feb I am surprised how quick the buses are rolling off the production line....

It seems though that the NB4L is Wrightbus' number one priority.

Basically by the time routes are announced for conversion the buses due for it are already in the process of being built.

If the 10 is converting in Feb I am surprised how quick the buses are rolling off the production line.... Between 5 and 6 per week (excluding factory shutdowns : 3 weeks in summer and 2 weeks Christmas) The official delivery schedule envisages 127 delivered in 2013 270 delivered in 2014 184 delivered in 2015 19 delivered in 2016 another 400 need to be ordered to allow dual sourcing (Wrightbus have exclusivity for first 1000) It would be possible to order about another 150 for delivery by the mayor election in May 2016 if they were ordered by this Autumn as production tails off from Spring 2015 (unless another Operator orders some and takes up production capacity). As it stands 608 LTs (including prototypes) will be about 7% of the London bus fleet.
