Here are the routes that I think are going to be converted:
6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 19, 22, 38, 73, 74, 94, 98, 139, 159, 436 (maybe) and 453. This due to the tourist attractions that these routes pass and because they have euro 3 vehicles.

You forgot the 88 and 188 Not too sure about 74 as it just got new buses but they could be cascaded to the 85 and 430 maybe.

Only the 6 & 8 use euro3 vehicles

But what Euro are VLAs and 05 reg DWs on the 159? And doesn't the 94 have Euro 3 TLA's.

I have a feeling that the 94 will be altered to allow the NBFLs to go onto route 94.

Indeed they are euro3 engined, but those VLAs should soon be getting a new exhaust system, engine remapping, adblue tank, etc to effectively bring them up to euro5 standard.

I think the 88 could convert as it dosent penetrate outside C London that much as where it does its quite a popular destination anyway, Clapham Common. The 188 i doubt would its goes to far outside the central area. Seems crazy all the work done to the 159s VLAs as the contract ends in Dec 2015 as i cant see the route getting anextension plus i would not be surprised if the 319's HVs didnt end up on there anyway.

I don't think the work on the VLA is "crazy" as they will still be utilised within Arriva London in one way or another, not to mention the benefits of reduced air pollution. In any case, TfL want all London buses up to at least euro4 engine emission by 2015. As for the 188, I actually wouldn't be surprised if the route gets converted for the tourism publicity of travelling between London and the O2 on a 'London bus'. I don't know how busy the route is on a general basis as I have only done it once when Q and SW shared it.

These 55 reg VLAs could be used for up coming existing buses tender bid - i.e. route 415.
