How about extending existing Central London - East London bus routes to help alleviate issues with the 25?. For example extend the 8 to Stratford (acknowledging Oxford Circus is the normal western Terminus and TCR is indeed temporary), extend the 115 to Bank, extend the 15 back to Oxford Circus, and reroute the 388 from Bank via the 25 to Oxford Circus. A new route could also be possibly introduced between Trafalgar Square and Stratford running via the existing 388 to Bank and alongside the 25 to Stratford. My idea of altering many existing routes to enhance one route may sound far fetched, just a thought How would you fit the 15 & 388 into Oxford Circus especially if the 8 was to return to Oxford Circus?

Perhaps the 388 could use the previous 113 bus stand and the 15 could use the previous 3 bus stand?, or alternatively extend the 15 to Great Portland Street and stand on Osnaburgh Terrace. That way passengers have several alternative routes to get them to East London from Oxford Circus i.e. 8, 15, 25 and 388.

They could use buses similar to those 12.8m KMB double decks, carring near as makes no difference the same capacity as the bendies did before they were replaced.

Given there are so many options to choose from here's my view:
I think that as the 25 is curtailed to bank it could be curtailed eastbound too like the 38 with hackney central and clapton. So half the route is oxford circus to stratford/forest gate/manor park and the other is bank to ilford. If it starts at stratford empty it may help cope with loadings rather than carry loadings from ilford with not much room. I agree with the express service but the only obvious problem is that people may just wait and overcrowd the express 25 leaving the normal one empty. Thirdly I think both the 8 and 205 need an extension into stratford (205 to stratford city as its already long) and 8 to stratford as it has been cut from victoria. If the 25 was curtailed to stratford then the 425 could be extended to help the 86

Not to mention what would happen to the 86. I agree with the 205 and 8 being extended, but as I mentioned earlier the Stand Space in Stratford may be a problem.

The 25 to Manor Park shouldn't be a problem as there will still be the 86 the W19 and the remaining 25's to Ilford although like you said it's extremely busy. Either way a sacrifice has to be made or additional service like the 425

What about if you extend the 425 to somewhere like Manor Park or Ilford, where stand is available, as long as it parallels the 25 until maybe Ilford.
