The 23 manages alright from what I've seen The 23 infact gets regularly overcrowded, especially along the City/Fleet Street corridor in the peaks and the weekends by tourists. At least if the 6 is extended to St Pauls it would help out the 23 as well as the 15 between the City and the West End. Rerouting the 7 to Trafalgar Square won't solve that. I would suggest extending the 9 to St Pauls

I would suggest extending the 9 to St Pauls I agree it wouldn't, that's why I suggested for the 6 to be extended to St Pauls instead as it's a much better candidate to help out the 23. It's a good idea to extend the 9 too, but to London Bridge so it would provide a direct West End Link from London Bridge and Vice Versa.

Extend 265 from Wandsworth to Victoria via Wandsworth Bridge, C3 to Kings Road, 11 to Sloane Square, C1 to Victoria. Introduce night service.
This would give better cheaper access to Central London for students at Roehampton and some Kingston University sites , also a better night link for these people. New link to Central london hub for roads served by C3 around Sands End and Chelsea Harbour.

An extension of the 7 from Russell Square via Guildford Street / Bernard Street , Calthorpe Street to terminate at Mount Pleasant would give new links to those streets not served by bus.
An extension of the 9 to London Bridge would be good ,and could perhaps run over Waterloo Bridge and then via the RV1 so to give a better West End link with that area of the South Bank.

Yes but via a totally different route

Nice idea but don't think it would work personally - Kings Road gets rammed full of traffic right down to Fulham. Also, does the A3 jam up horrendously between Tolworth & Roehampton normally?

The 265 uses many side roads which avoids queues on the A3 and Kings Road routes cope with the traffic.

Wouldn't this extension of the 9 just duplicate the entire RV1 making it pointless?. Personally I think the best option would be along Fleet Street towards Mansion House and down London Bridge to the Station.

Doing the 375 today... Ending up in the middle of nowhere for a few minutes... Got me thinking that a short extension to Abridge would be rather logical.
It'll just be like the old days, when the 10 ran there! Almost...

355 to Clapham Junction via route 322 from Brixton then via 35/37, converted to DD 322 to Vauxhall via 2, converted to 10.3/4m SD operation 196 increased frequency to every 10 minutes M-Sat P5 converted to E20H (or WHY if they were still in the market) 315 increased to every 15 mins M-F, 12 on Saturdays and stays 30 on Sundays/evenings X109 Croydon Town Centre to Marble Arch via routes 109 and 159, has limited stops and 10 mins M-Sat frequency, 15 on Sundays/evenings. Crosslinked with 159.

X109 Croydon Town Centre to Marble Arch via routes 109 and 159, has limited stops and 10 mins M-Sat frequency, 15 on Sundays/evenings. Crosslinked with 159. Before the N159 was scrapped I always though the 159 should be made 24-hours by renumbering the Streatham terminating N159s, then the New Addington ones be renumbered N109 and made an express route only stopping in Brixton, Telford Avenue, and maybe Kennington Church between County Hall and St Leonard's. That way it provides a faster link from outer London to central London and Brixton, and maintains the connections with other night services. Alongside the 159 and 250 I do not think there would be too many direct journeys lost, forcing people to change, as a result of the limited stop section.

I was thinking the X109 could stop by West Croydon Station, Croydon University Hospital, Thornton Heath Pond, Norbury Station, Streatham Station, Streatham Hill Station (and BN), Brixton Station, St Marks Church, Lambeth North Station, Westminster Bridge 'East Side', Westminster Station, Whitehall Horseguards, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, Bond Street (Selfridges), Marble Arch and can maybe even venture to Paddington to help off 7/23 a bit.

Crosslinked with 159. 10.2m SD's on the 322 would have issues negotiating the St. Gothards Road corner with St. Clouds Road in Norwood - it can be done as I've seen a 10.2m bus do it but with the parked cars there, it's impossible to do. I also disagree with sending the 322 - whilst another route along is needed, I don't think a single decker route is the solution. I disagree with the 355 going to Clapham Junction simply because the 322 is fine along Landor Road towards Clapham Common. I certainly agree with the 355 getting DD's - I wrote to TfL a few years to ask about decking the 289, 355 & P4 but got an indeaquate reply. I don't understand the urge for E20H's for the P5? I like the 196 & 315 ideas, to add to your 196 idea, maybe a retiming of late evening journeys as well.

I only say 322 to be converted to 10.3/4m operation to cope with the loads, personally I'd say 432 (I've said it before at one point), I though 'history + 196 rivalling = best served'. And also for a route other than 417/C3 to carry out the CJ help on 37 but I guess 417/C3 is much better. The 315 could go further to 10 on Saturdays, I've seen a lot of people than on M-F due to people going to Streatham most of the time. The 196 could do with a further 8-10 on M-F and 12 on Sunday, to keep it non-bunchy especially on M-F schooldays.
