Some Crossrail/Elizabeth Line ideas:
15- Extended from Poplar to Prince Regent via 115 route to Canning Town and 147 route to Prince Regent. 474 would remain on Silvertown Way. 330 extension cancelled. Possible routing via Whitechapel as per the consultation proposed for route 115.
25- Extended from Bank to Clerkenwell Green. Via 26 route from Bank to Ludgate Circus and route 63 to Clerkenwell Green.
53- Extended from Elephant and Castle to Clerkenwell Green. One routing could be via Westminster Bridge Road, York Road, Stamford Street and 63 route. Another routing is following the 63 route from Elephant and Castle. With option 2, route 40 is withdrawn from Elephant & Castle and Clerkenwell Green.
115- Extended from East Ham, Barking Road to Manor Park via 474 route (304/474 would need to make room at Manor Park with a route change). Extended from Aldgate to Liverpool Street. For the Liverpool Street extension, if there are no banned turns at Fenchurch Street to Bishopsgate I would send it via Fenchurch Street. Possible routing via Whitechapel as per Crossrail consultation.
135- Possible routing via Whitechapel as per Crossrail consultation for route 115.

Sorry but its a big no from me especially as I live very local to the proposed 15 change! Keir Hardie would not be suitable for LT operation the roads are tight and the current bus struggle with parked cars. If you leave the 474 on the current route what happens to the 241? Does it get extended to Pontoon Dock or still Canning Town Hermit Road? We still need a link to Hermit Road Shops. It should be remembered the Crossrail changes have been consulted and agreed so these are fantasy really. Sorry but not a fan of lumping sections onto existing routes for the sake of it, would be rather new routes created that are generally beneficial.

If savings could be made, I would consider doing the following: N69- Walthamstow Central to Manor Park (night 474 discontinued). N25- Ilford to Barking Riverside (may be too long). Night EL1 discontinued. Sorry me again and its a No again for the 69 and 474. By the time you increase the PVR on the N69 you wouldn't have any savings and the route would be long and around the houses.

Just a few ideas ie Ealing from an armchair perspective An E1 extension to Harrow via the Greenford Road, Sudbury Court Drive & via the 483 up to Harrow. Reasons for suggesting this: - Could provide another service to Greenford Quay and local links created to and from Westway Cross - Direct link between Harrow, Sudbury Hill & Greenford would be created, with a more direct alternative between Harrow/Ealing An E2 extension to WMH could be an idea if a hospital link is needed between Ealing/Greenford/Northfields and the WMH An E9 extension to Brentford County Court/Osterley instead of the E1 could be an alternative to the busy 65? If the Bedford Park/Acton Lane area needed a link to Ealing Broadway would it be a good idea to extend the 94 there? I know frequency might be an issue in the mornings on weekdays, but a 7-8 minute frequency could be well used at other points during the week Thoughts? Ealing and Greenford already have at least two routes to Ealing Hospital. One place that doesn't have a hospital link at all is Norwood Green, and would probably benefit from one, maybe a new route starting at Ealing Hospital, heading west on Uxbridge Road, 120 to Southall station, Merrick Road, 120 to Alderney Avenue, Alderney Avenue, Jersey Road, Syon Lane, H28 to West Middlesex Hospital. This would provide a hospital link to parts of Norwood Green and Heston that don't have one whilst supporting the 120. That would be really useful. It could help to push the H28 to Brentford proposal of TFL's.

The H28 proposal is 5 years old and other proposals from there were pushed through such as the E8s however the H28s faced significant opposition due to desertion of areas such as the Wood Lane area in Osterley which would lose the service and the same mistakes that occurred on the 384 and may take place on the R7 cannot be repeated. Though I understand routes should be more direct it shouldn't be at the expense of side roads. I doubt the H28 proposal is taking place

I doubt the H28 proposal is taking place I misread @buses1350 's proposal as via Wood Lane and not Gillette Corner. On another note, could this bus route be extended down to Richmond? That would be good to provide links to Ivybridge, WMH, Gillette Corner, Southall and Ealing Hospital from Richmond. Map below, incorporating related changes to the the 237, 490 and H22. This route would run every 12 minutes single deck and double run at WMH, with the 490 decked. The H22 would stand at WK but moved to the current 237 stand if lost. YX10FFN can you confirm that the Richmond Station stand is feasible and, if not, where the 490 could stand otherwise. Attachment Deleted

View AttachmentI like the idea of this new route, though an alternative might be to extend the H20 to Ealing Hospital (which would also assist the 120 towards Southall). At the Richmond end, I think a direct link to nearby West Middlesex Hospital would be very useful, which the H37 misses out on providing. Though this link could be served by extending something from Richmond to WMH - this would also relieve stand space around Richmond.

The 493 recently got cut so I question whether it needs to be cut again.

The 493 recently got cut so I question whether it needs to be cut again. I don't think that cut did much. It was mainly to reduce pressure on the Homebase stand and on the Lower Richmond Road. It wasn't really because the 493 was unreliable. In fact, it was very up and down in 2019, meeting its targets for EWT 6 out of 13 periods, compared with 2020 when it met its targets except during the 13th period, when it didn't run to Homebase. (It just missed it, by 0.01 minutes) So maybe it still needs splitting. It also has a long journey time and is busier after Barnes Common. In my proposal, the 493 would be SD every 8-9 and the 494 SD every 12 (15 sat). Additionally, the 490 could be cut to Richmond Bus Station to deck it, with the 494 running over Twickenham Bridge and/or the R70 diverted to POTP.

Others more knowledgeable about East London than I have taken you to task on the 15 etc so I’ll deal with the 53. Your 53 idea makes the route too long. I suppose what you could do is reroute the 453 so it takes your option A, and extend the 12 from Oxford Circus to Marylebone. If there is a further worry about loss of Old Kent Road to Oxford Circus, then reroute the 21 from Bricklayers Arms via the 453 to Oxford Circus and extend the 141 (possibly too long?) or 388 to Old Kent Road Tesco - however I think that would require another route to move out - and that’s a spaghetti I’m not thinking about now 😂 I think one of 21 or 141 can be removed from the Moorgate - Old Street - Hoxton corridor.

It shouldn't be removed from there

The 15 I could see it work but not with the current buses as the roads are very tight (then you have selfish drivers in their cars going down tight roads and not giving way to others). What route would you swap the 15 current vehicles with?
