Driver training has already commenced at Q for the 12's conversion using a bus from MW.

That explains why I saw a LT in Denmark Hill which was returning to Q from Dulwich on Friday.

Unfortunately, the only real unique quality about the 7 since its curtailment has been between Highlever Road and Ladbroke Grove Station. Almost everywhere else is parallelled by the 70 or 23, which to TfL may seem like suitable alternatives, and I've never seen it completely full. Now that the 70 is being extended to Chiswick Business Park, it could get DDs and then the route will be a prime target. Such a shame though.

I recently e-mailed TFL about the curtailments which routes are facing. They took around 3-4 weeks to reply but they finally have.

Surely the 47 is affected by the works in Lewisham and not Cannon St? Why aren't all the other routes near Monument curtailed? I'll also be astonished if the 53 and 148 return to their full routes given TfL are digging up Elephant and Castle roundabout now and for 18 months plus the CSH works at St George's Circus. The other galling thing is the quite ridiculous timescales for some of the works. All of 2015 to dig up and reinstate Regent Street? Really? What are they doing - digging down to the earth's core?

The 47 has extra buses between London Bridge and Lewisham (as a rail replacement) so this should have resolved the issue with the Lewisham Gateway works too. But I'm confused. Why would works on Cannon Street affect the 47 anyway? Wouldn't that effect route 15, 17 and 521?

They've also curtailed the 390 between Lancaster gate and Notting hill gate during the day. Does anyone know why this is? I believe there are extensive road works at Kings Cross to improve the safety of cyclists passing through the junctions there. The 390 has been curtailed at Lancaster Gate to give more time overall for buses to deal with the delays - AFAIK the PVR hasn't been reduced so the timetabled time between L Gate and NHG can be used to add more running time through the KX section. They can't curtail at the other end because that's where the garage is but also because the 390 is the sole service on that section. There are other frequent routes between L Gate and NHG which can take up whatever demand the 390 carried on that section.

I think it should, or at least by then. The Conduit Street bus stand looks really tight for LTs, so I am actually wondering if the 15 will return there. Maybe they will gain some sense and just send the 15 to Oxford Circus instead. If the 3 goes LT like is rumored, then I think the route will quite possibly return to Oxford Circus as well.
