Improvements: Route 14 increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights Frequency cuts: Routes 430 & 436 reduced from 6bph to 5bph Route N38 reduced from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes. Every 20 minutes to every 30 minutes between Piccadilly Circus and Victoria The 430 I can kind of understand due to it being fairly lightly used on the 74 overlap but the 436 down to every 12 seems harsh on what is still a very busy stretch through Peckham up to Oval. Interesting about the shorts on the N38.

Interesting about the shorts on the N38. The reduction on the 430 is no surprise given that TfL previously wanted to get rid of the ridiculously generous levels of capacity currently provided on the overlap with the 74 between Putney High Street and South Kensington, by withdrawing the 74 entirely. This achieves some savings but at the expense of passengers in Roehampton on the section where the 430 runs alone. Would have been better to withdraw the 430 between Putney Bridge and South Kensington or divert it at Lillie Road to run to Hammersmith instead. The 436 has become a route of two halves since being rerouted to Battersea Park Station. The Oval to Battersea Park section could probably cope with 5bph at the moment. Extending the 436 a bit further on, say to Battersea Latchmere would make it more useful. From what I’ve seen along Nine Elms Lane it just picks up a few stragglers who could otherwise easily have been accommodated on the 156 or 344, except during the peaks when the with the flow journeys are a bit more lively.

Would have been better to withdraw the 430 between Putney Bridge and South Kensington or divert it at Lillie Road to run to Hammersmith instead. Diverting it to Hammersmith would be ideal, it would support the 220, provide a connection between Hammersmith and Putney High Street, would generate a decent PVR cut (since Lillie Road to Hammersmith is much shorter than to South Kensington), and would provide a connection between Hammersmith and Roehampton while Hammersmith Bridge is closed.

Alternatively a direct link from Lillie Road to Earls Court Tesco would be very useful as the 74 stops some distance away from it. Terminating the 190 at West Brompton doesn’t serve any traffic destination and usage fizzles out towards the end of the route.

The problem with the 436's diversion in the first place is there isn't any obvious place to extend it without causing an issue elsewhere. The section between Vauxhall & Battersea Park is quiet because the 156 & 344 offer links that have been around for donkeys, are more established as a result and beyond the Power Station & Battersea Park which probably see more custom via the tube, there isn't anything there along that section but luxury flats which probably aren't fully occupied half the time. Battersea could work as the 44 used to shadow the 344 to Vauxhall before being diverted to Victoria and the 44 would load well to and from Vauxhall even with the 156 on top but I'm not sure another route on top of the 44 & 344 west of Battersea Park would be needed. I'd prefer to see a Clapham Junction extension because of the new links east of Vauxhall it would bring but the issue with that is you will end up duplicating either the 156 or 344 in both instances

The traffic around Battersea High Street would be bad for the 436 if it was extended anywhere in that direction.

Every 20 minutes to every 30 minutes between Piccadilly Circus and Victoria TfL will do everything but reinstate the N9's former frequency to every 20 mins during weekends. I can actually see the N27 being extended to Hounslow bus station in a year or two because they're stubbornly steadfast on the N9 being having this criminal 30 minute frequency.

This would create a round the corner link between the Nine Elms Lane complex (including outside Battersea...' tube) and mainstream Victoria. It also would give more of South East London a direct bus service to Victoria Coach Station....like the 44/N44 now does for South West London.

I think M1004 specifically meant Victoria Coach Station which is a bit of a trek from Victoria Bus Station.

This is the problem with frequency reductions, the whole route is effected. But it seems it's easier for TfL to do that because no consultation is needed. I would either reroute the 430 to Hammersmith as you suggested or withdraw it completely and extend the 74 back to Roehampton.
