FOI requests are very expensive to process and should only be used where simple emails or letters have failed to get a response.

When TfL as an organisation almost always constantly provide nothing but a template response its no surprise people just go straight to the FOI. Its a legal obligation so its TfL's issue how much it costs.

It might be a little bit wider than that given planned changes to some roads, layouts and the planned wider developments for Brent Cross.

An internal review finding mentioned as part of the recent Highgate review, Routes 24 and 603 were not taken forward for a full buissness case analysis. However they are one of the options laid out. www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/routes_24_and_school_route_603#comment-100951A similar FOI request confirmed on the other page debunked the rumours on the 102 and the 144 from another internal review finding.

But still no information on what was actually considered for both routes neither does it mention the 268 was park of the consideration aswell.

I don't what are they going to do with 24 and 603 like the 24 have been same for like 100 years but like to see 603 became a dally route

Interesting to see what comes of this. My prediction - there will be a thinning of duplication on main corridors, I expect the 332 to be withdrawn and replaced by a revised 16/32. Also, a reduction in services to the main shopping centre as retail trends change, footfall further falls as was occurring pre Covid - more services will go to the new rail station instead. Also added "benefit" of reduced overcrowding in bus station. Time will tell.

Just with Westfield in Croydon it was a completely obsolete design that was inflexible to the rise of online shopping and the original issue of relevance it was designed to tackle would have lurked it's head again quickly. Although of course I lament the loss of new jobs, investment and a new bus station, but the long term picture matters.

The Croydon plan was less than favourable to start with but I liked the Brent Cross plan. It certainly would have helped kick start a regeneration in the area. Whereas the Croydon plan just never seemed to consider any shopping destinations in the greater area.

As expected, full confirmation that a full comprehensive review of bus services in Barnes and Mortlake will take place this year (https://www.london.gov.uk/questions/2022/0186) - place your bets on what they propose to cut change in the area. Interesting to see if any changes get tied into ANY other *speculated* changes in the Putney/Hammersmith(?) areas.
