Bromley area network review planned for 23/24 as well as a Lewisham/Catford review. Out come the crayons! 😂 Presumably this includes a look at the relationship between the 269 and the X269 as well. Would the Roundabout routes count in this too? They're a significant financial burden for a small number of passengers who aren't likely to vote Labour any time soon...

So the 47 is the next route speculated to be withdrawn! After the 414 and 45/148 over the past two years that never came to fruition It could possibly be thinned out to operate as a Lewisham to Shoreditch route as the route parallels the 199 for a lot of its journey. Surprised it wasn't tampered with in the central London changes last year! Blame me for that! Although I (and others) could be barking completely up the wrong tree by assuming that a Lewisham-Catford corridor review automatically equates to taking a route out. Lewisham Hospital is a major destination along that corridor, and all the bus routes passing it have some value in providing links to one of the major hospitals in the area.

Could even be another series of re-routes. Wouldn’t be surprised if the 181 is involved

Quite surprised the 101 hasn't been speculated for withdrawal! Since it got cut back to Beckton, the majority of the route parallels the 474.

Khan has made plenty of cuts, most of which I’ve criticised as that’s how I’ve remembered them happening. Khan or TFL thou. I think the most the freq reductions were him letting TFL get on with it tbh Agreed. Doubt he'd micromanage the frequency cuts. Probably gave the go-ahead after TfL asked generally whether they could adjust frequencies to 'new post-pandemic demand'.
Bigger consultations like the Central London one is probably another story.

This seems to be turning into a route withdrawal speculation thread. The East Ham corridor is very busy and believe it warrants the level of service provided. Also you have to consider the Manor Park to Wanstead section.

Although the boost an extended 474 or 304 would need will probably make such an idea cost neutral. They'd save more money tendering the 101 rather than giving SC or GAL more work on an existing contract which may be making more per mile than operators need to make as it hasn't gone through a competitive process.

With the 129 extension due to link Custom House, City Airport and Beckton, I think a split of the 474 could be worth looking at now. Extend the 101 from Beckton to North Woolwich, and with a frequency increase. And a revised 474 could then operate as present from North Woolwich to Canning Town, then extend to Stratford (or Stratford City) via the 323 and D8. This would restore a link from the Keir Hardie Estate to Stratford, and introduce a new link to Stratford from redevelopments near West Ham garage. You could also look at curtailing the 473 to City Airport.

Extending the 474 just sounds odd to be honest, it would be a very around the house way to Stratford and no one would use it for that purpose.

Bromley area network review planned for 23/24 as well as a Lewisham/Catford review. Out come the crayons! 😂 Could this possibly be why the R route tender got moved?

The previously proposed extension of the 199 to Bromley with the 208 curtailed at Catford and the 320 at Bromley North might be considered again although some more stand space would have to be found in Bromley.

They will need to find some stand space regardless for the superloop routes

Do hope a 24 hour 51 is considered its really something I'm surprised hasn't been added yet.

I think it was considered around 2009 in conjunction with the 24h 321 which didn't serve the Oval and the I think it was going to replace the N47 between S M Cray and Perry Hall Road.
