Britain will not be banging on anyone’s door begging to be let in (Scotland might though). However our politicians are not being straight with us. The next 10 years will be hard for the UK. Trade deals do not happen overnight and some Brexiteers need to understand that we no longer hold the upper hand over the US, India and China in trade negotiations. There will be huge turmoil in the economy as highly skilled jobs move to the EU and we await the gaps to be filled depending on the outcome of trade agreements.
Many US companies use the UK as a base for their EU operations for time zone and language efficiencies. In the future, we can expect to see more US companies basing their EU operations out of Dublin.
The EBA and EMA have upped sticks and left, taking with them an army of highly skilled jobs and leaving behind some shiny new offices in Canary Wharf for someone to fill.
Yes, we will have gained the right to say who comes in and out of our country. Yes, we will be free of European jurisdiction. But don’t think it will be fluffy and rosy in the coming years.
The pressures that Brexit has put on the Union are considerable. If Scotland decide to go for independence post-Brexit, that would really put the cat among the pigeons. Also the issue of having any kind of border in Ireland is unpalatable, yet we have no government in Stormont at such a critical stage. We voted Brexit with rose-tinted glasses about how we were going to leave on our terms or no terms at all. The harsh reality is beginning to hit home.
In 10 years time it may well be a great success. For the sake of the UK, I hope so.

I wonder if they should set up a Department for Exiting the Cabinet? let's see who goes tomorrow picking a Remainer to negotiate Brexit seems a bit odd. Still, I bet NHS staff are glad to see Jeremy Hunt move. I'm surprised Boris lasted as long as he did... May could still go within a month

May could still go within a month Dominic Raab is the new Brexit Secretary and he is a Brexiteer. Jeremy Hunt will not be negotiating Brexit. I was hoping Failing Grayling would be shifted to Brexit Secretary 😂 It could have been worse though, Failing Grayling could have been given Jeremy Hunt’s old job.

Wondering what will happen now May has gone to France begging, and they've said Non? Will she stagger on for another 5 years like the buses on the 318?

Personally I want may to grow a pair and tell the EU where to stick their deal. Maybot threw her toys out of the pram on Friday after Salzburg... but it looks like this match may go to penalties... even talk of a snap election after Chequers plan is off the menu as they will meet tomorrow to find a Plan B... talk of resignations again. If there is another election they may not win after people realise the lies they have been sold. When it dawns on Joe Public he will have an 'Emergency Room on Friday night' length wait to go through customs at Magaluf or anywhere else, or paying way too much for a base model hire car abroad , will he be pleased to Leave? November is when it kicks off... enjoy your last 174 days in the EU, peeps... Shops like Jack's (Tesco Lidl rip-off) point to our sorry future, but at least it's British broccoli, none of yer foreign muck I despair but it is the unknown... will the Eurotunnel close? What of employment with EU firms, will they move elsewhere?

As for Jack’s, this has nothing to do with Brexit and was created because Tesco wanted to claw back customers from Lidl & Aldi after losing some of their market share to them - apparently, Jack’s is pretty much cheaper than both though not by a lot and the quality of the products seems to be quite decent.

Jack's will die on its arse as its just Tesco Value re branded... will there be just one girl on the till like their rivals too? There are too many Tesco Metro stores, I think they aim to convert some of these to Jack's. We will see how it goes, I guess. No hurry to shop there as I save a fortune buying £45 worth of shopping in Aldi that would cost closer to £80 in Tesco... the random sales items from printers, to power tools are good as well Yes, both sides lied in Brexit but its the way Gove, Farage, Johnson scattered like birds in Trafalgar Square, squandered 2 years when Article 50 was triggered and never sorted out trade deals... the disastrous election where May lost most of her lead... could result in another election as the final vote in Parliament before November's meeting with the EU, with Parliament in its current state will result in a hung Parliament (or in X Factor parlance, Deadlock ) and we crash out no deal or worse. I think I both UK and EU have a lot to lose and this is like separating conjoined twins who share a heart... thankfully agonising on when Tottenham will start putting new Arriva vinyls on the HVs, or where on earth that StreetDeck they ordered got to will take my mind off this mess

This government is the worst I've ever known and I lived through the 70s and 80s so the benchmark is pretty abysmal to start with. An election will stall whatever "preparations" (hah!) government and businesses are making re Brexit. I completely oppose Brexit and I hate the fact that "leave" won (hah!) off the back of crooked money and voter manipulation but the last thing we need is ANOTHER re-run of all the referendum arguments. I'll be throwing myself off a cliff if we go through that s*** again. We also have the least effective official opposition I've ever seen too. It's an utter utter disgrace. They should have this bunch of incompetents "on the ropes" day after day and nothing happens. They don't deserve to gain power for such little effort and for being split on so many issues. The country is sunk come March next year regardless of what happens. If the Tories are still in power and we crash out of the EU with no deals they will rip up every social protection, flog off the NHS and suspend a whole load of other laws. The country will never ever be the same. It is an utter disaster and that's before we get to the rise of the vile factions on both left and right extremes of the political spectrum.

We will patch things up and try to keep them going, like the buses on the 318 To call an election (as the Daily Fail hinted before burying it with other stories like the Katla Volcano possible eruption in Iceland) within the space of a month can be done, but Theresa May will lose more seats than a Harvey's delivery truck with its back doors left open the alternative is caught up in a racism storm, and both parties are split down the middle on Leave / Remain. The EU can see the mess as they all fight like cats in a sack. All this triggered by the genius who brought us buses on the 149 with no opening windows and a non-existent 'air cooling' system which made them hell in summer

Well this is politics and propaganda after all. One didn’t exactly expect confession-level truth from anyone ... one however does expect the likes of BoJo and Gove to show some semblance of responsibility. Right now, it seems like a bloody disaster. I am hoping that sense prevails everywhere and we have an orderly, structured solution... let’s see I think messrs farage and BoJo were all hoping for a narrow Brexit defeat - would have given them ample ammo for the future. They sort of went quiet and started playing pass the buck once they realised that work would actually need to be done to get Brexit done ... and that the onus was now on them!!!
