I can't see anything other that an Italy win in tonight's game Still think that? Italy haven’t been anything like the team we saw in the group stage and for me Austria have just shaded the game so far as we go into extra time |

But then again not really that surprising when they’re being managed by a guy who lasted 4 games at Palace, 86 days at Inter and got sacked by an MLS team. That doesn't necessarily mean it was his fault for all those sackings - Palace panicked because of the four losses he had, Benitez never lasted long at Inter (3 months I think) before being sacked and he isn't a poor manager. De Ligt's sending off ultimately sealed their downfall plus the missed Maelen chance where he should really scored. |

Defending Champions Portugal have seen themselves out now, although that match could have gone either way. Portugal certainly put up a good performance.
Looking forward to seeing the French and Spanish games tomorrow before the big one for England. Netherlands going out means that if England can beat Germany they stand an even better chance of reaching the final than before now.

Great performance by the Czechs although some shocking defending by Matthijs de Ligt which resulted in him quite rightly being sent off helped their cause.

Really, really enjoyable game this evening between Spain and Croatia (Spaniards and Croatians might have a different view!) with a little bit of everything but probably the right result in the end
France vs Switzerland is surely a formality?

What a great couple of games these have been this evening - make the most of it, at least one of the games tomorrow will be rubbish  I thought the missed penalty would do for Switzerland and for a time it certainly looked that way but they fought their way back into it and it’s more extra time. I really hope Switzerland pull it off - France have been disappointing overall for me |

So much for the formality! France had decent spells but I think the Swiss just edged it and are deservedly in the quarter-finals. Surely the game against Spain will be a formality? |
