A few comments on social media, most seem to be from Jocks funnily enough, about how England fluked it with an own goal and a missed penalty that should never have been given. Well if it wasn't for the own goal Raheem Sterling would have had a tap in and whilst the penalty award was questionable so was the free kick Denmark scored from. Yes Harry Kane was fortunate that the ball came straight back to him from the penalty and whilst it was a great strike from the Denmark free kick Jordan Pickford really shouldn't have been beaten by it. So it's really as broad as it is long. At least they had a better team than the Scots over-rated team. They may have got a penalty they did not deserve, but the end of the day. They never got one where Kane was fouled. I believe they only gave that penalty from Sterling as they realised their previous mistake.

Congratulations to Italy........ quite bizarre bringing Rashford and Sancho on in the 120th minute just for penalties and of course they both fail to score. Credit to Pickford for saving two penalties but sadly it just wasn't enough. That was the most stupidest thing to happen. He may as well bought them on 15 mins earlier. Even Mourino criticised that decision, saying they hardly stood a chance at scoring as they did not even have a kick of the ball prior to the penalties.

I must admit that I feared the worst when Harry Maguire came up to take a penalty but he actually took the best one of the lot, no keeper was stopping that. Jack Grealish has made it clear on twitter that he wanted to take a penalty. Although he was not allowed, it was Southgate's decision who takes the shots.
