I do see France trying to score as much goals as they can, wonder what would have happened if England were in Iceland's place at the moment.  |

Looks like my pre tournament tip is finally making their mark and it's always nice to see an Arsenal player score, especially Giroud. I'm predicting a France vs Wales final as Portugal are extremely hit & miss and I fancy France to get revenge on Germany after losing to them in Brazil 2014. |

Semi FInal Predictions:
Wales vs Portugal
Wales without Ramsey is key. Since Fonte/Cedric came in for Portugal they have been solid (boring). This one could be extra time again but a bit more interesting than Portugals previous games. Going for Portugal to win without winning AGAIN!!
France vs Germany
Lets not get carried away by France vs Iceland. France have been better since they substituted Kante at half time against Rep of Ire and went 4-4-1-1. They started with this formation and did OK again. Bringing in Kante for Sissoko would mean they go back to 4-3-3 or play Pogba/Matuidi out wide in 4-4-1-1.
Germany will win comfortably in my opinon anyway because France cannot defend without the ball, but the margin of victory will be greater if Kante does not play.
By the way, I was having the deabte as to the worst penalty in the GER - ITA, was it
a) ZaZa weird run up and blast wide. It was his first touch, but Game stats show he covered 11Km with the run alone.
b) Pelle telling Neuer he will chip down the middle, only to embarrassingly drag it wide.
c) Bastian Sch(something), captain, leader, blasting a 'does not matter if you miss' penalty (which is less pressure) high and wide.
Anyways great shoot out but does not beat the Holland - Costa Rica, when Tim Krul came on for the penalties. It also does not beat the Ludograretz Champions league qualifier shoo out when the outfield player went in goal, for the whole shootout as the main goalkeeper got sent of in the 120 mins. Player saved two and they got into the group stages.

Portugal rely too much on their key players in my opinion. Ronaldo has far too much pressure on him as a captain and this is affecting the whole team. If they continue to play how they have been playing the past few games I wouldn't be surprised if the game goes right up to penalties, making a possibility of Wales heading to the final. |
