Ahhhhh how nice it is to have a distraction again!
Really impressed with England. Croatia weren’t great but I believe that England caused them a lot of problems and nullified them.
Scotland don’t look great. SHOULD be a routine win on Friday

Not sure why on earth the keeper was so far off his line, something I'd expect from Manuel Neuer maybe but certainly not from Marshall. I do see England winning against Scotland too so wouldn't be too surprised to see Scotland come third place in their group depending on how they perform against Croatia. |

Steve Clark picked the wrong team IMO - recently they'd being playing two up top in d**es & Adams as well both Tierney & Robertson interchanging down the left yet he started d**es up top on his own and didn't even play Tierney at all. The Czech didn't play well 1st half whereas Scotland did alright but 2nd half, they improved massively and ended up deserving the win in the end with two well taken goals, particularly the 2nd one. As for Poland, they do what they do best - self-destruct, so we've now got our backs up against it if we are to even qualify. Usual Juventus suspect in goal making errors, yet we have a solid goalie in West Ham's Fabianski who has played well for Poland whenever he has got a chance but seems to be always overlooked. |

So England win - very dull performance against a Croatia side who are on the slide and certainly the big boys won't be quivering at fear by this. The Scots will have watched that and will probably fancy themselves to grab something from the upcoming game England could win every game 4-0 against France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Belgium and you would still find something to moan about. We get it, you don’t like England. But this squad is packed with excellent, young, talented players and playing at home will give them a big boost. This Croatian side is a couple of years away from a World Cup Final appearance and are no mugs - this is a good result for England. It wasn’t a top class performance but the heat will have contributed to that massively. There are still plenty of positives to take from today’s game, not least Kalvin Phillips’ fantastic performance in midfield The Scotland game will be vastly different. It won’t be so hot firstly and Scotland always raise their game against us. I still can’t see anything other than an England win though lol @ Scotland. I never see them as any threat, they are terrible. |

What are people's predictions for how far England will go and who will be the winner?
I'm going for England to be knocked out in the quarter finals, which is still pretty decent, but I feel they will be knocked out by someone stronger than them in the quarters. For the winner I'm going for Portugal.

If Germany top the group I think England have a better chance making it to the quarter finals, and if Hungary top the group then I think England wouldn't be what everyone's interested in by that point  I do see England topping their group, despite a relatively poor performance against Croatia, they were the dominant team through that game and both Scotland and Czech should be easier games. I'm probably more interested in group F's results because that's who England will end up playing. |

I can see Belgium and possibly Italy being the dark horses in the competition but overall in no particular order I think it will be between France, Portugal, Italy and Belgium |

Well done Scotland. They came for 0-0 and succeeded in frustrating the hell out of England. There was simply no creativity in the England team which is utterly bizarre given the abilities of Mount, Foden, Sterling and Grealish. They had no idea how to unlock a well drilled, disciplined Scottish team. Tuesday’s going to be interesting....

Have to say, the refereeing in this tournament and VAR as well has been exceptional bar the Czech's penalty earlier on today. Don't if others agree but certainly food for thought for referees in this country who generally are very poor.

Don't if others agree but certainly food for thought for referees in this country who generally are very poor. Despite England's shoddy performance, they should have had the penalty today I think. Although bar that sole incident this was almost a Premier League match although refereed by a La Liga referee and you can see the sheer improvement. I'm not an Arsenal fan but I remember reading online somewhere that Craig Pawson's decisions alone is what resulted in the below par placing on the table this season too. |
