Seen a post on the S*** London Facebook Group where someone has compared the Bus Station to John Wayne designing it. (Western comparison)

I don't think we'll see peak loadings on the 42 until January when Tower Bridge re-opens. Ironically they could have probably got away with single deckers on the extension until then.

There are three MHV's on the 185 today according to LVF. Spotted one myself in East Dulwich.
The 42's appear to be carrying mostly air on the extended part of the route.

According to LVF, the usual mix of WVL, PVL and E's are on the 185 despite the new contract starting today. MHV's are on the 42 today though.

To confuse matters more, there's also a spare bus stand on Dog Kennel Hill towards Denmark Hill opposite the park, which was installed a few months back.

With the 42 extended to Sainsbury's on Saturday, it appears the 42 will use the spare stand at East Dulwich Sainsbury's, go back around and then pick up passengers from the existing P13 bus stop.

It's that time of year again when BBC London send a hapless reporter with a thermometer on a LT.

176 - late evenings and Sundays to every 10 minutes. 185 - every 8 minutes until end of service, 10 on Sunday. 197 - Every 10 minutes daytime, 15 evenings and Sundays. 356 - 15 mins Mon/Sat, 20 evenings and Sundays.
The P4 has been suggested as every 10 minutes, but if they keep the same length of vehicle, I'd go for 8 minutes Mon/Sat all day. 10/12 on Sunday.

Travelling to Peckham will be a lot cheaper where as I can get the 176/185 then the 12 instead of waiting ages for a 197.

Reminds me of the joy of riding the 99 through Plumstead with Somali schoolkids kicking off.

The only time I've been mugged on a bus was in the mid nineties was on a Sunday OPO 12 in Peckham. The crew operated RM's were perfectly safe to ride.
However, the last time I really felt unsafe was when the 12/436 had bendies which attracted all sorts of undesirables.

Route 12 is another SE to West London route that has been chopped over the last 30 years. Once operating between East Acton or Willesden Garage to South Croydon, since 1988 it only runs to Dulwich Library in the south and since 2005 to Oxford Circus. The route has also terminated at Shepherd's Bush, Notting Hill Gate, Norwood Junction, Penge and garage journeys to Elmers End.

Considering the 42 will be DD, will the stop/stand at East Dulwich Sainsbury's need remodelling? You can fit one DD at the stand furthest away from the two bus stops, but I don't think it's suitable for the 42 and the P13.
