It was sort of a mix of freqs with Marble Arch to Streatham needing pre night tube a 10 min freq, down to Croydon atleast every 20 mins and New Addington needing only a 30 min serve hence the N64 being introduced. Now with the night tube I can see a 15 min N109 with the (N)159 being withdrawn and maybe even the (N)250. Withdrawing the 250 at night leaves the Green Lane & Brigstock Road areas without a night service & long walks to the nearest night buses so I don't see that happening - a restructuring of the 159 & N109 though is far more a possibility but neither route follows the night tube in particular bar the link of Oxford Circus & Brixton so who knows how in danger that really is. Carshalton and Wallington were left without a night service at all when the N44 and N213 were withdrawn from the area so anything is possible.

There were rumours not so long ago about the N250 being withdrawn Sunday to Thursday night.

I think the N64 should be extended over the 250 to Brixton.

The reasoning most likely was that the N159 was run in two sections and likely it was an anomaly they wanted removing. The core section between Oxford Circus & Streatham also became more frequent as a result IIRC. The N159 did not run in 2 sections it had a bifurcation New Addington or Old Coulsdon but they were full length this lasted until the N68 was introduced to Old Coulsdon when it was Marble Arch - New Addington I know about the bifurcation as that was continued over from the old N109 but that's not what I was referring to - anyway, I stand corrected.

Certain routes to get smaller because of the recent rise in car use and the hopper fare.
92: withdrawn between Greenford Broadway and Ealing Hospital TfL can just say that people can use the hopper fare to get to Ealing Hospital. 95: Rerouted to Westway Cross. 395: To be discontinued. 398: withdrawn between Petts Hill and Wood End. Rerouted to Northolt Station. 487: Rerouted to Wood End. E5: To be discontinued. E6: rerouted to Perivale Tesco’s via the 95. E11: Extended to Toplocks Estate via the E5.

This would never work in a million years! The E5 is a every 12 mins route that serves dense housing and multiple primary and secondary schools, it's always full and really deserves a frequency increase or longer buses, rather than the every 20 / 30 mins route E11. The 105 will have increased pressure between Greenford and Southall, being the only substantial route linking the two centres (the E11 would barely help). Buses every approx. every 3-4 mins will drop to every 8-9. The 92 idea is just a joke, TfL are ridiculous, but they wouldn't stoop that low! Could I just ask if you live in the West London area, because it seems like your quite unfamiliar with people's travelling patterns and how the bus routes are?

I’m familiar with peoples travelling thank you. This is not what I would do. I’m just predicting what TfL would do. That’s what the title of thread is called. If TfL won’t do that to that 92 then why are they planning to remove the 110 from West Middlesex Hospital and removing the link between Wembley and Central Middlesex Hospital by removing the 224 from Wembley without replacement and telling people to take alternative routes and use the hopper ticket. It’s TfL that doesn’t care not me. I know how how busy both the 105 and E5 can be. The amount of 105s that I’ve seen packed 105s leaving Greenford and going through Southall is unbelievable. But I do think that TfL at least try and do something to reduce the amount of over lapping in the Greenford to Southall area. The roads around West London are getting more congested which doesn’t help.

With the tight purse strings of TfLs bus budget, I have had a look at routes in Hackney and Tower Hamlets and I do think the 276 is a future candidate for change.
I have a set of predictions below for the 276 and its supporting routes. All existing destinations on the 276 can be reached with one change.
Proposal A
108 diverted via E India Dock Road, Barking Road, Ordnance Road, Star Lane, Manor Road, W Ham Lane, Broadway, Great Eastern Road to Stratford Bus Station - This new routing would not serve Canning Town Bus Station in order to speed up journey times (this would not effect existing journeys on this corridor).
236 extended to Stratford City via Semley Gate, Berkshire Road, Wallis Road, Hepscott Road, Rothbury Road, Clarnico Lane, Waterden Road, Westfield Avenue, Montfitchet Road - 2km added to the route. No longer serves Eastway (use route 388). DD conversion to improve capacity across the route. Frequency reduced to 5bph. Supports journeys on some roads that would otherwise be unserved without the 276. New direct links between Stratford and London Fields and Finsbury Park
277 re-routed via Amhurst Road then extended via Rectory Road, Manse Road, Stoke Newington High Street, Northwold Road to Stoke Newington Common - PVR retained as existing. Supports journeys on some roads that would otherwise be unserved without the 276. Increases capacity on the route to Stoke Newington from Hackney Central.
323 diverted from Devons Road via Violet Road, Morris Road, Chrisp Street, E India Dock Road, to Canning Town (see 488 for partial replacement) 323 extended to Newham Hospital via Barking Road, Prince Regent Lane and Glen Road - 3km added to the new route net total approx 8km. No change to frequency. PVR increase to 8/10. New round the corner links. Retains western links to Newham Hospital with new links to lower parts of the Tower Hamlets borough. Supports cross-Canning Town journeys on the 5 and 115 from the Barking Road corridor.
488 diverted via Bow Road (W), Campbell Road, Devons Road, Devas Street, then extended to Canning Town via Twelvetrees Crescent, Cody Road, Stephenson Street, Manor Road - 3km added to the existing route. Direct journey between Bow Road and Canning Town.
D8 diverted via Warton Road, Montfitchet Road, International Way to Stratford International - DD operation retained. No change to the rest of the existing route.
276 withdrawn
Proposal B
108 diverted via Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach then as existing. To improve journey speeds and reduce the amount of buses required back to 14.
236 diverted and extended to Bromley-by-Bow Tesco via Semley Gate, Berkshire Road, Wallis Road, Hepscott Road, Rothbury Road, Wansbeck Road, Wick Lane, Jodrell Road, Parnell Road, Fairfield Road, Bow Road, Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach return via Twelvetrees Crescent and Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach - PVR increased to 17. Retains routing of the old 276 & 488.
277 re-routed via Amhurst Road then extended via Rectory Road, Manse Road, Stoke Newington High Street, Northwold Road to Stoke Newington Common - PVR retained as existing. Supports journeys on some roads that would otherwise be unserved without the 276. Increases capacity on the route to Stoke Newington from Hackney Central
323 extended to Newham Hospital via Barking Road, Prince Regent Lane and Glen Road - 3km added to the new route net total approx 8km. Direct links between Mile End / Bow and Newham Hospital.
308 diverted via Lower Clapton Road and Urswick Road then as existing - To improve journey time on the 488.
488 diverted from Fairfield Road and extended via Bow Road (W), Campbell Road, Devons Road, Violet Road, Morris Road, Chrisp Street, Newby Place (return Bazeley Street), Poplar High Street, Blackwall Way, Lower Lea Crossing to Leamouth, City Island. Also diverted in Homerton via Chatsworth Road, Lea Bridge Road then as existing - Better cross borough links from Poplar to Hackney Wick and Homerton. The diversion via Chatsworth Road will be to help improve journey times on the rest of the route.
D3 re-routed to terminate at Poplar, All Saints - In order to improve reliability on the rest of the route, route curtailed (488 for partial replacement).
D8 diverted from Trafalgar Way via Aspen Way, Leamouth Road, E India Dock Road, Canning Town bus station, Barking Road, Ordnance Road, Star Lane, Manor Road, W Ham Lane, Broadway, Great Eastern Road to Stratford Bus Station (Converted to single decker operation) - Potential for extracting journeys on the overcrowded Jubilee Line between Canary Wharf and Canning Town / West Ham. Better reliability for West Ham section of the old 276 in comparison to the 108 in proposal A.

The times I've seen or used it, it's always busy so I was a little bemused at why it would be completely withdrawn?

The times I've seen or used it, it's always busy so I was a little bemused at why it would be completely withdrawn? I agree there are busy sections of the route (which would be covered in the changes). However I dont think those sections need to be supported by a route that runs all the way from Stoke Newington to Newham Hospital. I think the indirect nature of the 276 renders its opposing destinations irrelevant to the day-to-day travellers, as there as so many faster ways to complete the journey. Also the duplication of destinations served is quite varied on the route Homerton to Stratford; 308, 425 and 276 (Overground if you inclde all modes), Homerton to Bow; 425, 488 and 276, Prince Regent Lane to Stratford; 262, 473 and 276.

Increases capacity on the route to Stoke Newington from Hackney Central 323 extended to Newham Hospital via Barking Road, Prince Regent Lane and Glen Road - 3km added to the new route net total approx 8km. 276 withdrawn A sounds like the better option to me if Citaro's on the 108 can manage ok as @dan mentioned. Is the 236 ok for double deckers? I thought there was a residents issue somewhere on the route although I might be wrong?

Bromley and Orpington
61 Route withdrawn, partly replaced by 261 and B13.
126 Reduced slightly to 4bph but possibly double decked. Re extended to Beckenham Junction via current 162 route.
160 Withdrawn between Eltham and Sidcup, replaced by 320 and R11.
162 Route withdrawn, replaced by 126,320 and B13.
199 Extended to Bromley North using stand space vacated by the 61/269 or better still Ringers Road stand if possible.
261 Rerouted at Locks Bottom via current 353 route to Ramsden Estate.
269 Rerouted to Ringers Road stand to better serve Bromley town centre.
320 Reduced to 4bph and withdrawn between Bromley and Catford, replaced by 199. Rerouted via current 162 route (except the Imperial Way section) to Eltham Station.
353 Extended from Ramsden Estate via current R4 route Pauls Cray Hill. Converted to single decker with separate arrangement for school traffic.
B13 Extended from New Eltham Station via current 162 route to Chislehurst then via current 61 route to Orpington War Memorial current R2 stand. I'm assuming single deckers will be adequate between Chislehurst and Orpington.
R1 Extended from Grovelands to Foots Cray Tesco.
R2 Extended from Orpington via current R6 to St Mary Cray. Evening service SMC to Orpington Stn as now.
R3 Extended from Orpington Station via current R4 route to PRU hospital becoming a circular route in both directions.
R4 Route withdrawn, replaced by 353 and R3.
R5/8/10 Hopefully interworked to give a hourly service on each route.
R6 Route withdrawn, replaced by R2.
R11 Extended from QM Hospital via current 160 to Chislehurst route 61 stand. Separate arrangements made for school traffic.
** Alternatively the 160 could remain as it is to Chislehurst and then be rerouted via the 162 to Bromley with the 320 just doing Biggin Hill to Bromley North. The idea being to get double deckers on the Chislehurst to Bromley section rather than being wasted on the very quiet Chislehurst to Sidcup section.
