I'd have loved to have done the 109 as well. I did do the 25 from Ilford to Tottenham Court road and Stratford to Oxo before the cut. It was fairly busy but I was actually surprised how quick the journey went from Ilford to TCR was at around 90 mins. I remember route 25 continuing to Becontree Heath, even with through journeys from Victoria on Mon-Sat evenings.

15 East Ham to Richmond....I know this includes the Sunday extension from East Acton to Richmond... although I don't know if many buses did the whole route? 53 Parliament Hill Fields to Plumstead Station 40 Blackwall to Herne Hill 161 to Bromley North I can probably think of quite a few more?? Route 15 on Sundays was East Ham - East Acton with RML from U plus Aldgate - Richmond with RM from Middle Row (predecessor to Westbourne Park but also coded X)

It didn't go via Chiswick though, it followed the 10 to Hammersmith then ran via Fulham Palace Road, Putney Bridge and the 337 route. Was certainly odd seeing Hounslow VAs and VPs at Archway!

The night and morning journeys on the 221 from Holborn to Edgware would be an entertaining return!

It was run by London United from Hounslow until 2004 when it moved to First at Alperton

N10 never used RMs. The 10 was RM/RML-operated while with Metroline. In 2003 it was split in two; First took the shortened 10 using B7TLs, while Metroline ran the new 390 using RM/RMLs. The 390 was then converted to B7TL in 2004. It also became a 24-hour route at this point, with the N10 cut back to King's Cross.

It was fairly busy but I was actually surprised how quick the journey went from Ilford to TCR was at around 90 mins. I managed to do the 25 end to end from Ilford to Oxford Circus though it took 2 attempts as the first time I attempted it, nothing was going beyond Holborn - also managed the 23 on a loan Stagecoach Trident from Liverpool Street to Westbourne Park on my way to the Westbourne Park open day. I did do the 25 multiple times in overlapping sections; and once westbound (on a weekend) and once eastbound (in the last week). The last eastbound was in the evening peak (roughly 16:35 departure from Oxford Circus); took 2 hours 20 minutes to do it completely! It took 30 min to get to TCR from Oxford Circus; my bus was full by Museum street (not stopping thereafter till Whitechapel expect to let people off) and there was another 25 in front in similar condition.... those were the days. I also remember a trip at 2am or so from Oxford Circus to Aldgate (was staying there at that time); late night arrival at Luton - coach till Baker Street - forgot which bus till Oxford Circus as the next N205 was 25 minutes away - and then 25. What made it memorable was that the bus was completely rammed at 2am - all seats full on upper deck and barely enough space to stand downstairs

I saw a 1990s timetable for the route which showed the Holborn Circus journey running to/from North Finchley only. Yes, there were night time and morning journeys that variously ran between Holborn/Farringdon/Kings X through to Edgware in the 1970s and 1980s.

29 from Victoria to Enfield (not that many journeys actually covered the full route) 664 from Edgware to Hammersmith 557 from Chingford Mount to Liverpool Street 663 from Aldgate to Chadwell Heath 35A from Clapham Common Old Town to High Beach (but only on Summer Sundays!) Was the service on the 29 from Victoria limited then? 38 to Epping Forest Wake Arms summer Sundays. Remember them??
